Dude, it's not an .NIF file. Can't upload it to the Creation Kit.

Got the sword to work in game, mesh looks good, no seams or anything and appropriately sized (nifskope magic)

however because of how the uv map looks, I had to guess what was what by trial and error. Having zero experience (or positive experience I should say) with blender, I had to work with the tga pic of the uv map to texture the sword, (used gimp, made .dds)

Long story short is that I can get the sword to look good, much like its Oblivion counterpart (not exactly, but pretty dang close) just without the gold frill on the hilt and ruby.

the scabbard is another story...I can't seem to get an image of the uv map for the sheath, so the best I can do is make the sheath look like solid wood or give the SOTC an iron sword sheath.

    thoughts?

and one personal question for the uploader...did you recreate the mesh of the SOTC yourself or are you using Oblivion assets? If you made the model..my hat is off to you (I can't create models to save my soul... all I can do is play with other peoples models)

If no one has done the sword ill have a go at texturing it for you. it needs to be re uv mapped. as you wont be able to get decent detail from the uv you have done. now im now (expert) at texturing. my style is more anime. but i can do it.

You should ask Cabal120 or Backstept if one of them would be willing to texture that for you. This mod will be amazing when its done. Thanks man for doing this!

I managed to texture using standard image and material textures in Blender but I do believe you're right that UV map texturing would be better Thanks for comment

Anyone that know how to turn those files into nif and dds files, the sword is so awesome that would be great to play in skyrim.
