Hey, I really like this mod and I want to use it for my 3rd skyrim play through. Problem is I’m on xbox. If you could port this to bethesda it would be greatly appreciated! If it is necessary I can offer a sum on pay pal for you to port this.
Got this mod and it completely broke my game, like i couldnt even open it to the main menu or anything like that, the mod seems awesome and i wish i could get it but i just dont want it breaking my game
I was a bit wary using this given how old it is and that it seemed to predate the CK but its actually a great texture :D I use it as a texture resource for my own personal Skyrim and remade the Iron Helmet in Helgen as a unique helmet for my Dragonborn's. The normal map is really shiny but swapping it for one from amidianborn or another iron armor texture (I can't recall what the one I used was but it had scratches that suited this scratched up helm perfectly) it's a pity the rest of the set was completed to match this but either way endorsed since it was exactly what I was looking for
It is such a shame this mod is dead, I was really looking forward to the entire iron set to be completed, would have looked so cool. For some reason all the iron armor re-textures out there make the armor look darker. I wish we would get a lighter colored iron armor re-texture out there, I can't believe nobody has done that yet...
Very well done SIr. The fact that the helmet in the game never looked anything like the ones in the trailers or on the wallpapers always bugged me.. Superb job on the texture! Very well done!! Many thanks.
I like the helmet, looks good. And I'm looking forward to the studded armor an iron gloves and boots. I would like to see the studded armor flipped around for a standalone Dragonblood outfit that matches the artwork.
The sense in wearing the pauldron on the right shoulder is to give a little protection as the left side is mostly protected by the shield.
Beside of practical reasons it looks cooler on the right where it is not covered by the shield.
Take the standard hires helmet at the bottom, open up GIMP and blast it with a little bit of light blue-ish grey. Don't overdo it or it will become too 'flat' and lose the brilliant iron texture.
Next, take the boots and gauntlets from http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6490 and try to brighten the metal plate on the latter to make it closer in shade to the helmet. If you feel the browns are too strong compared with studded armor, use the color tool and desaturate.
Voila.
I've always wondered about which side the pauldron should be on. It seems funny to have it on the right shoulder, restricting movement. (Assuming default-male-nord is right handed.)
Also, the hand on that side is using a dagger while the other has a sword. I suspect that the poster was mirrored and the other art like the default nexus background followed as a result with the pauldron on the right side.
