im having trouble with this mod and athletic jumping i think i have a couple other mods that i think conflicted with this one in the past but i have newest version so athletic jumping is the only thing that i can think would be interfering
lol at least tell me what happens in theory, if the jump height and length are modified by another mod, mine should simply not work (avoids conflicts on purpose). in general jump-related mods more than dobule the jump height, so mine would be nerfing the desired jump power (but then, why use it in the first place >_> ).
the athletic jump mod has another file with it for even higher jumping but has some floating decent problem so i had to settle for the file with lesser jump ablilites and wanted to augment it at least in wolf form with your mod but ive tried every load order and cannot get this one to work with it so judging from what you said its not going to
I see. maybe I should just not care about other jump-related mods... I can make a version just for you, and maybe I'll leave it in the downloads for those who prefer it. I'll make it tomorrow.
wow thanks i would really appreicate that ive been trying everyday for 5 days to make your mod work i dont know why but i want my wolf to jump higher than my human lol but still want the human to be able to jump higher than normal
now I remember why I made it avoid conflicts: I can't know how much another mod enhances the jump height and length, so my mod would just use its own values and override the other mod's. if you transformed into a werewolf you would get an enhanced jump height, but when returning normal you wouldn't return to the values set by the other mod, but to the vanilla ones. I have to make a version specific for Athletic Jump, in this case.
edit: I checked the values used by Athletic Jump and it makes you jump higher than my mod, lol (on the other hand, mine makes you jump farther). I'll just put higher values for my mod.
Hey, I ported this over to SE (It's working fine here, both the normal and modified), can I post it to the SE Nexus? I'll sure give you all the credits
Today I didn't have much free time and I spent it all on setting up the game and solving the first problems with it. I haven't even started a new game yet. Tomorrow I'll definitely port the mod.
You're using it in the old skyrim, right? >_> I don't know, I don't think it could in any way make the game not launch. it only adds an hidden, auto-starting, empty quest whose only purpose is to run a script that only modifies the jump height global settings.
I tried converting it and it works fine except...when I reload a save where I am currently a werewolf I can't jump high, it reverts to jumping at a normal height again.
Don't know if this bug is normal for the mod or not...
wow this is super late but: @brownie187 I think I had fixed that problem back then. dunno why it's happening. the mod is supposed to have a script with a function that runs also when you load a save and checks if you're a werewolf or not...
This sound awesome. Can't this be achieved without scripts like Athletic Jump? I have been wanting a mod like this for werewolves only but I'm at the edge of scripts heavy mods now ><
no, unfortunately. the jump-related settings cannot be associated for example to perks, races or (hidden) magic effects. either you set a different value and stick with that (like Athletic Jump does), or you use a script and make their values change while you play when certain events occur. you also need SKSE because without it you can't change that type of settings with scripts.
werewolf mastery never conflicted with my mod and apex werewolf is a graphical mod. bloodmoon rising is incompatible with werewolf mastery (it's written on BR's description page). be careful with what you install, because non-graphical mods can't be uninstalled without problems.
btw I'll try to understand if BR can conflict with my mod.
edit: it can't conflict. it doesn't modify the global settings that my mod modifies and it doesn't use a custom werewolf race. I'll look into werewolf mastery, maybe it changed from the last time I checked it.
edit #2: I looked into werewolf mastery, and it can't conflict, either.
you'll have to give me more details about the mods you used for me to be able to help you.
Hey I was wondering, this is so perfectly implemented I wanted to make a request fitting to the lore of a werewolf:
Average human sprint speed = 16 mph Average Wolf sprint speed = 39.15 mph Average Wolf = 40-50Kg so we'll say 45Kg Male maximum human weight in Skyrim roughly 90kg by the looks of it
So wolf is 2.44x faster than human. (39.15/16)
But human is 90kg (bigger legs, more muscle, longer stride) so 2.44/45*90=4.89
So werewolf _realistically_ should sprint between 2.44 and 4.89 times the human sprint speed.
Now, I unpacked your BSA and I kind of understand the code. You have not given permission to publically edit the code and frankly I'm a bit undereducated in coding.
Would something like modding the global 'fMoveSprintMult' in the same way you edit jump and move distances work?
If I don't hear from you soon I'll keep trying but you made the code, you're the master ;-)
there's a mod to increase the running speed for the werewolf (I don't know how it works and I don't use it). you may want to use that as a base. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33534/
it's okay if you edit my mod as long as you don't redistribute it saying that you (or anyone that is not me) are the author.

version 1.3 is really compatible with anything. I'm so happy.

edit #2: ok, it's done.
@LPkun it's better if you keep using the one you ported, otherwise something about the scripts might get messed up.

I'll think about it. it shouldn't be difficult.
