this mod looks cool, but it's not very lore friendly

    Great mod.

    Just two things:
First, as mentioned before in another comment, the statues look a bit much like actual stuffed werewolves. Great for factions like the silver hand but for werewolf-friendly companions? Could you change the texture slightly so that it's clear they're stone statues?

Second, these statues should only be visible to werewolves. Since Werewolves are feared and hated, it wouldn't do to advertise that they [the Companions] are Werewolves (some of the members, at least). And they are supposed to be a secret, those Werewolf forms.

make the skyrim logo disappear as the imperials also use that logo so don't use an logo at all for the people who join the stormcloaks like me and make them off wood and get rid of the glow in the hands then it would look much nicer and fairer for the others because i always join the stormcloaks but also the compainions and to have status with the imperial logo on it seems wrong in my eyes

The Skyrim logo doesn't belong... and yeah, the Companions would not be flaunting this on their doorstep. Now, a statue in the Underforge, I can see.

It might help if you retextured the werewolf so that it looked like a statue, rather than a frozen werewolf.
    1. indeed.

Make them look like wood carvings & get rid of the glow in their hands.

They don't fit in unless you do exactly what I said. <-I'm a Lore-Jerk

Retexture them to look like an actually statue and remove the "Skyrim logo".
That would be awesome but it's a good idea and a good mod (even if it's not lore friendly)

I wouldn't say it's it as if they're telling people they are werewolves, but having a stuffed werewolf on your doorstep seems kind of... morbid? You might compare it to a Khajiit stuffing and mounting a Khajiit for their living room. They have werewolves in their ranks, and they're putting up stuffed statues of their own brethren up for display. The Silver Hand would undoubtedly stuff and mount a werewolf they killed but I couldn't see the Companions doing the same, even if they weren't real. Now if the textures were somehow changed and set to make them actually look like statues made of stone or wood compared to something that appears stuffed then it could be more believable.

But still it's true, Lycanthropy doesn't particularly appear to be something that they'd try to embrace openly, especially Kodlak. A few others might but I'll save it there to avoid any more spoilers.

      That's my two cents anyway.

I'm curious about this, while I guess this doesn't exactly flaunt "We're werewolves!" I cannot see the Companions actually having these statues. Especially since they apparently look as if they're stuffed statues, being taxidermy. The Silver Hand perhaps, but not the Companions. Second, why does it look like there's a spell effect in each hand? The second issue with that is from the feeling you get, the Companions shun the very idea of magic in general opting for a good old-fashioned beatdown and brute force. The idea though that you can be a mage and magic user and still join and become Harbinger I'd attribute to them being simply oblivious to it. Count it as Bethesda's "you-can-do-and-be-anything" approach.

I think it's a bit closer to Bethesda's "riding Morrowind's success" approach, because guilds there actually at skill requirements.

i dont think this is lore friendly. No one is supposed to know that the members of the circle are werewolves!

Though they do wear wolf armor. Maybe if there were just wolf statues? (Well, all but the moron companions. I mean, cmon aela, that's not even light armor)

I think you did a good job. But, maybe if the statues were stone and more gargoyle-like. Or maybe a wolf statue like those majestic lying lion statues. Maybe something like that would just hint at some kind of a wolf relationship, not scream "Warning:Werewolves!!"
