Miraak is the first Dragonborn, he just happened to discover this while he was a Dragon Priest and attempted to overthrow his masters, Vahlok wasn't having any of that though, and almost killed Miraak before Hermaeus Mora stepped in and swiped Miraak into his realm for thousands of years Also, other Dragonborns are Tiber Septim (I think) and Martin Septim from ES4 Oblivion, were they Dragon Priests? No, they weren't
Wouldn't the Dragonborn's mask just be named DovahKiin instead of Dovakiin Mask? Like the other Dragon Priest Mask's are named just one word in the dragon language? Like Krosis means Despair And Nahkriin means Vengeance So wouldn't the Dragonborn's mask just be named Dovahkiin?
This is a nice idea, but Dragon Priests (excluding Miraak) were NOT Dragonborn, and being a Dragonborn doesn't make you a Dragon Priest. You would have to join a cult that's been dead for millenia to be a dragon priest.
how could a dovahkiin shout with a mask on... it would be suicide! and it removes the time between shouts? man that sounds reasonable! nice effort by the way.. a dragonborn needs no mask.

Good idea, although I never thought of it because you are Dragonborn not a Dragon Priest, a.k.a those who worshiped dragons not killed them. Just a couple things, this does conflict with whatever mod I have altering Sky Haven Temple so it does conflict with at least one mod and probably any other mod that does major edits to the location. Other than that it seems good, apart from the fact I have no idea what the mask does, if it does anything, it's enchanted so I presume it does but since all it says is "The mask passed on by all Dragonborn" I have no way of telling. I'll endorse when it lets me, although all previous Dragonborn wouldn't have used it, being that Miraak has his own unique mask...
My idea about it was, I am the dragonborn, my face is all hurted and scared down because of the fire. Thats why the dragonborn wears a mask.
My Idea of history:
The blades putted their hands on the first Mask slain from the first dragon priest. from that time, it has been passed on from Dragonborn till Dragonborn
