I don't get how this is supposed to be more immersive. If they game talks to me, that is expected. But if I'm reading my character's thoughts of he's talking to me, that is the opposite of immersion. That's not being in the game, that's controlling someone else in the game.
I think maybe his point was that now you're being told what your character is thinking - but what if that's not what YOU are thinking? Like your character thinks it's not wise to sleep while trespassing but you're roleplaying as a rude boor who wouldn't care about that at all?
You both have valid points. I think it was best said by RS13, paraphrasing him/her, that we each might have a different perspective. For some, reading in the first-person form might help with becoming more 'immersed' in the game. With others, it could be just the opposite. Without this mod, the player is still 'told' what the PC is experiencing, therefore, how someone perceives the message is entirely up to the individual. That is, if attention is being given to the on-screen text at all. To be fair, the only way to fully have an immersive experience is to ignore the text altogether and just play the game. However, that's not the topic of this discussion or intent of the mod. Considering the fact that the original comment was posted quite some time ago, I presume by now the author has either managed to live with the mod offers, or has moved on to something other. Now, I even find my argument to be redundant, for making this response. :-)
i love the mod. but i found a minor MO problem, no real problem, but it says that the version is wrong. on nexus it is 1.2, but the mod is 1.4, not a problem but something to so peaple don't creap out.
