This mod IS compatible with extended towns and cities. When I first downloaded this I was very concerned the two mods wont get along, but they coincide nicely.
I must say I like the mod very much. Only nitpick I have, the voice files were recorded at a very low volume. But thankfully I have my own sound editor and can simply go into the data\sound folder for each person of this mod, and increase the volume myself.
id say put mum back in and have a tragic quest line that has the possibility of her dying/killed, you can have her funeral and track down who killed her(it could link in to the main quest some how)
having race detection so the family changes race according to what race you pick or have a mcm menu that lets you select your family's race
maybe add little siblings, sister perhaps(mcm to change the age of your siblings from adult/teen/child could be cool and to be able to disable/enable brother and sister)
I REALLY like this mod. I love the house, the look of Bro and Dad, BUT: I have no sound. My Brother doesn't talk to me and neither does my dad. I don't know what I have done to them in the past (maybe killed my mother? oO) but my Dad ignores me all the way, just stares at me, no "yes" or something. Maybe it's because I usualy play the game in german. Well, I only want to say that it would be nice if somebody could tell me what to do, because I would really like to talk to him again or maybe even know why he is mad at me.
This sounds really great! I've always envisioned my character as living the simple life, a nice family and quiet town. I actually think keeping the mother dead is a good idea, because it allows you the option of having 'inherited' your genetics from her. (Of course if you're khajiit or argonian or orc maybe not, but it works for all the human races). Anyway, I'm going to be testing this with a BUNCH of mods tonight, so i'll leave some feedback when I'm done! Oh, btw, I have multiple profiles and use the alternate story beginning, is there anyway to make this compatible with that/my roommate doesn't get peeved his high elf apparently now has relatives in riverwood? XD Perhaps add an option to toggle it on and off via the mcm?
Edit: Took a look at it.
Wow that's a big house! It's definitely pretty, and I love the placement of the gravestone. I was a little taken aback by that when combined with the backstory, however. I appear to be somewhat richer than the others in Riverwood, which doesn't exactly make sense considering, you know, the only one working in my family is Da, who is just the blacksmith apprentice or something?
I also couldn't talk to Dad at first. I approached him at the forge, and wasn't able to click on him. I followed him back to the house, wow, once again. I entered the house and spoke to Roland, and saw the "I need you to follow me" option. Hope there's a lot more conversation added later! His voice was really low too, and his mouth didn't move.
I went up to the loft, seemed to work fine besides a small table that was inaccessible. Went downstairs, proceeded to kill Da. Couldn't kill Roland. I guess he's been marked as immortal so he can be a follower?
Anyway, he killed me and I reloaded as I entered the house. This time Da was right in front of me. I clicked on him, we spoke. I asked him for money. I was disappointed he actually wanted to GIVE me money. Doesn't exactly fit with my ideal of poor farm girl. Dad's voice was also really low.
Anyway, didn't see any immediate problems when combined with:
Alternate start Requiem Frostfall Hunterborn RND W.A.T.E.R Inconsequential NPC's Interesting NPC's Wet and Cold And a bunch of others.
I don't know if they interest you or not, so I won't list them, haha. (Used to be a thing you did when testing Sims Mods. I don't know the proper niceties for testing Skyrim mods!
i know these may sound like stupid questions but, one does this mod support custom races? (aka i play the drow beta race) and two if not supporting custom races, does it at least support vanilla beast races? either way im playing the mod, id just like to know
WHen i play the mod and I go to Riverwood, the house glithes with a stone which mnkes the houe un-enterable en the frontal garden glitches with small pass besides the inn.
Please patch it because it's a great mod! Keep it up
