The Gah-Julan armor was my favourite bonemold set in Morrowind even if I'm still a Telvanni at hearth. Now If a good soul could make a meshe for a Native Gah-Julan hel helmet, an Armun-An cuirass and a cephalopod helm. I would be back in my garden.
The bonemold armor crafting is specific to velothi people (dunmer). It is crafted from the bones and shells of various creatures : kagouti, alit, silt strider, shalk,..
The House Redoran bonemold armor is known as Gah-Julan armor : http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Bonemold_Armor#Bonemold_Armor
This is highly realistic, Morrowind are volcanic in nature so metals are probably scarce and thus not often wasted on armour. In the real world we have Japan in a similar situation and this is why Japanese armour are typically light and with little metals, especially for lowly foot soldiers.
As a side note, the reason why the Japanese weapon smiths folded metal maybe hundreds of time when smiting swords rather then just a few times as in Europe had nothing to do with these smiths skill and patience, it took all that work to get rid of impurities in the low quality metal available to them.
Well... I didn't think it was that big of a deal as he is thier "leader" so it makes him stand out more. But I know there are people that will enjoy this, so good job.
This was my thought as well. BUT Captain Veleth seem to be the kind of person that probably would wear the same armor as his subordinates, minus helmet for social reasons.

Nice work, and thank you.
also it would be awesome if you do rename the Bonemold Guard Armor to Gah-Julan Bonemold Armor.
Hmm, might do a little update and change the name of the armor to Gah-Julan. Just for a little more immersion, don't you think?
