@ makeoutnight I got newest official and unofficial Skyrim patch and issue was still there, hence why I made the mod. Hopefully they will fix it, but since it’s rather minor I felt like fixing it for my play through since I was on the quest anyway. Hopefully people find this mod usefull during this quest. Using the console to add hooded version felt kind of lame. :p
@ all Yeah I saw the disguise first time I did main quests on my Nord, but I was so powerful by that point I sneak murdered the lot of them for fun. But was really disappointed to find out the disguise was broken even for High Elf after so many patches. Btw, disguise efficiency goes like this: High Elf> Dark Elf/Wood Elf> Humans >Beast races + Orc. Humans might need to kill guard on second floor due the tight space in the corridor. Disguise goes bust as soon as you get too close.
A fix for this issue was indeed implemented in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, making this mod obsolete for those who have USKP.
It would be nice to mention it in the description, as this mod would only be useful to those who do not want USKP for some reason.
The USKP fix was tested as working, but many other mods can do all sorts of things that happen to break or cancel out USKP fixes, so results may vary depending on what other mods you played with, your load order, etc.
oh. I thought you were just suppose to kill or sneak your way through XD downloading and trying, though I am a Nord so it should be interesting to see if she gets caught :3
I think its a great mod next play though I will give this a try, but I so enjoy just killing them all as me lol....besides if I leave any of them alive the stormcloak in me feels cheated and then there is always that enjoyment of them putting out that contract on me and hunting me in the wild every time I have my back turned. I keep a drawer just for their contact notes. Plus being a Norial I seem to already be on their hit list so not thinking this would work well but will for sure give it a try next play though. Great idea !
I think they already fixed that on the latest patch... at least the last time I tried to disguise as Thalmor it actually worked. my character is an altmer though, dont know if it works with non-altmer characters.
An interesting addition. I always hated having the entire court-yard being alerted right away when they only had the slightest glimpse of me trying to sneak by with Thalmor clothes on.
