You would have to send the information again. It doesn't keep record or memory of anything. Once you close it all is lost. The only time it keeps the info is while you have it open. Also the category box just tells the mod author what category to look in. Thanks for sticking in there with my beta test run. All feedback is essential to me to help enable a better program.

In reply to the PM you sent me.
The Check for updates button checks for the latest updates for the mod. (Takes to the page)

The categorical box helps enable a narrower search.

The character limit is approx. 100

It does not keep any info you put in. It uses a email address custom made for this program. I have no record of your email, ip address, etc. I can only see what you sent in the sent items file. The rest is in cyber space.

I am currently added some more features for better handling. If you wish me to add something else please tell me.

100 characters is way too few. For example, just the text I quoted from you comes in at 523 characters. I really think that should be taken up much, much higher. I'd suggest about 6000 characters, just to be sure you've given users enough space.

I'm still somewhat confused by the categories. What is it narrowing the search of?

I'd also like to know if I have to input the info each and every time I use this for a specific mod. Say, for example, I'm having a lot of issues with Immersive Weapons. I somehow get the authors email, I go to the nexus page and copy/paste the url into your program, I submit my error report and close the program. The next time I type "Immersive Weapons" into the program, will it have stored the rest of the info, (email, url and category), or do I have to type all of that info back out again?

Thanks for telling me all those things. I am going to revise the app and make it better. I am aiming to make it do auto detection for games etc. Also don't worry about the database it is the email address I have it set up to. I only have record of the email sent.

I did download, back with 1b.

As long as I'm here and now that I watched the video, here's some feedback:

    - You may want to consider a different title for the mod (e.g, Feedback App, Feedback Tool). From the description, I'm pretty sure that this app is meant to help people send feedback to someone. On the Nexus, the term "report" is usually used to describe the act of notifying moderators of a problem with a mod, mod comments, or forum posts. This app, by comparison, seems to be more of a feedback tool, rather than reporting problem mods to Nexus moderators. Yep, that's what the video seems to describe.
    - Related to the previous point, unless I misunderstood the video completely, this doesn't seem to be specific to mods or Nexus. If that's correct, then it's a bit misleading to call it a mod-specific app. That's why I recommended names that don't say "Mod".
    - Please provide larger text-entry areas for bugs and suggestions. Detailed bug reports (yeah, I said "report" here; please bear with my inconsistency) need to contain a lot of information (e.g., version, OS, expected behavior, actual behavior), and the current text-entry field is just a single line that's way too small for proper bug reporting.
    - Expand the description to completely describe the application's function and explain clearly that this app isn't specific to Nexus or mods; instead, it's a generic app that can send e-mail to any e-mail address about any file. Before I watched the video, I thought that the app would enable me to send feedback about Nexus mods and that it would scan my installed mods and automatically and pull info from Nexus with contact info for those mods. Now that I've watched the video, I see it's completely unrelated to Nexus. In general, a mod's description should contain all necessary information about the mod, with any included videos being handy additions rather than being the only source of vital info.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together and sharing it with us! I think that with some work it could be a very useful feedback app.

I've got a few questions about this tool.

#1. The giant "check for updates" button in the middle. Is that to check for update for the tool itself, or is that somehow intended to check for updates for mods?
#2. What is the function of the Categorizing system? Does this somehow change what category/group a mod is listed under in Wrye Bash/Nexus Mod Manager?
#3. What's the character limit for the "Bug(s)" and "Suggestion(s)" fields?
#3a. Are there any plans to make those fields larger text boxes with a scroll bar?

Now, I don't want to sound like I'm coming down too hard on this tool, as I do have respect for the fact that you devoted time and energy into its development. That being said, the way this tool works brings up a couple of issues that I feel should be addressed. The first is that an author who receives a bug report has no means of responding to the user who submitted the report. As a casual end-user who has made zero mods, just browsing the comments section I have seen a number of bugs/complaints that require the author to ask additional questions, not the least of which are "what other mods are you using" or "what are your system specs", but can sometimes be as simple (and vitally important) as "what were the circumstances leading up to the bug".

There's also something to be said for how involved this community is when it comes to finding solutions. It's one thing to send an anonymous e-mail to an author. Posting in the comments/forums means that even if the author doesn't know what the root cause of the bug is, other users may be able to provide an answer or workaround.

I also have some concerns about how this program operates. I know it's not an email client, and in order for this program to send a bug report using my email address it basically would have to be an email client. I do understand the need for it to send everything though a proxy gmail address. The concern for me is that, I have no way of knowing that it isn't also sending a BCC to you, generating a database of addresses. I have no way of knowing that it isn't collecting the IP addresses of the end users. I'll also be here first to admit that that is a bit of a paranoid view, and the same thing can be said of any program I download, so please don't take that as accusing you of having malicious intent.

With all that said, I don't know that this is a tool I'd use. However, I'm not writing it off completely either. I'll track this to see what other features you add in the future.
