Uh, is it just me or after installing this mod most humanoid corpses get parts of skeletal remains in their inventory? Also, will the corpses never really disappear on their own?
by default corpses will stick around for a couple of ingame days until you leave the area and the area gets reset. its the skyrim's default ! if your corpses have part skeletal remains, you are either using Undead FX or mods that have similar effect on dead bodies and it has nothing to do with this mod !
I know I'm years late but thanks for the reply! Still using this mod, and you were right - I had less mods on a newer playthrough and I didn't have this problem anymore. :)
Really late but you can get the spell tome disintegrate corpse included in this mod (location dragonsreach whiterun, in farengar's room) to make the corpses disappear.
This mod is freaking awesome and surprisingly immersive. I was killing some bandits on some railings, one of their bodies fell down the side of the mountain and hit another bandit with a bow, staggering and leaving him vulnerable to a spell from me. Awesome interaction, endorsed.
i've been downloading a compatibility patch for the SSE counterpart of this mod when i came to check on the LE one... and man, i didn't notice this before, but the guy came in 2013, created one mod, had 1m downloads and 38k endorsements, and NEVER made another mod again or was active. this dude is the personification of a one time wonder... what a Legend :))
Yeah, stay far away from this mod. It ruined the game's map for me, and even after I uninstalled it the effect remained. 1/10 (1 only because it actually did add Dead Body Collision to the game), would recommend to no one.
I love this mod! Never had any issues, though I've heard of some. Frankly, I feel like taking damage from a corpse falling on you is pretty fair, and used in combination with Hunterborn I like to line up my kills and pose with them. Combined with Dragon Remains, I can finally get a nice, good look at the textures, push the corpse around a little for a better one with this one and take screenshots standing on it!
this mod doesn't really work with skyrim engine cause sometimes when you touch dead bodies the physics goes haywire and it may launch you in different directions... like when you kill the first dragon and the skeleton it leaves behing, sometimes the white run guards try to walk through it and sometimes the skeleton will get launched and crash into people
also is this mod doing something to fire? cause when i play helgen intro after the dragon smashes through tower and blows fire everywhere, those flames never disappear and ralof is telling me to jump in the inn while he is on fire, i use mods where anyone can die so this usually injures him pretty bad and he will say stuff like "last mistake"
not sure it is this mod doing it but the only thing i have installed that touches fire
Jaggerloco, are you suggesting that "Revenge of the Enemies Fix" is causing Cheyron's problems, or that his problems will go away if they use that patch? I ask because I've been considering RotE (and this mod, DBCF, is part of the STEP setup, so if I use RotE I'll need it to cooperate with DBCF).
First, a thank you to the modder for releasing their creation. It's people like you that keep skyrim my favorite game today. Second, all views stated are my own opinion based on my viewpoint, likes, and expectations. Your thoughts may different. Still, i thought it may help those who have never tried the mod before.
This mod is one of those presents that can seem great at first and then wear off for many people as time goes on. If you are planning a long game, I advise caution when choosing this mod.
The mod itself does exactly as advertised but some people fail to take into account the nature of the game engine and just how many bodies there can be at times. Especially if you use encounter mods like obis and SOT. Entire doors can be blocked by a sea of bodies that you can't wade through and followers can get stuck.
A scripted spell to remove bodies may be needed and, while the mod supplies one, some people have had trouble with it. For best results, test first on a game where you're testing other mods or trying out an expansion mod (like bruma)

Can you make the same mod for STARFIELD?
Or give instructions on how to use this mod in Starfield.

LOOT is designed with the STEP Modifications and a small list of mods in mind.
