    So if you guys haven't seen it yet or aren't active on the forums, I've started a WIP thread for Distinct Skyrim: Landscapes Reimagined which I'll be keeping updated with progress on this mod as well as all of the other Holds that are being worked on. I've currently got screenshots from Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, The Pale, Eastmarch, Whiterun and the Throat of the World posted so if you're interested in seeing where this project is headed in its final stage please check it out and maybe comment to help generate awareness. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded and/or endorsed this mod it's appreciated more than I can say and helps keep me going on this when I get a little burnt out. You guys are the best!

    Alright! Cleaned versions of all released files are now available! This should solve any issues that you would be having in regard to crashes from deleted references.

    If there are any issues please report them here and I will do my best to fix the bug. Thanks again for all the wonderful support! If I get some time to work on this in the next week you can expect some shots of draugr in the marshes and some early WIP shots of The Pale!

      Yep! Just download Ruins and Treeless Morthal from the Old Files section. Its basically the same thing as 1.0 without Hearthfire.

    Good news! I've figured out how to get the Draugr spawns to work the way I want them too, so now its just a matter of implementation and then a final clean for a stable release version. I'll go through all of the optionals and do a cleaning and then a reupload and then its on to the Pale!

      Very excited to hear this I always loved traversing the marsh at night with realistic lighting mods... Nothin scarrier than getting ambushed by.... MUDCRABS D:!!!! Yep... mudcrabs and spiders. Will definately be anticipating the release bud Nice work and hope to see some endorsements rollin in.

    I really love this mod but the two Darkwater falls ysgramor statues are a bit of a Wild edit. Theyre not carved from the mountain for one, And theyre also nowhere near Hjaalmarch.

    Is this mod compatible with SSE? If not, are you planning to port it or willing to give permissions for someone else to port it?

      Yep! Just resaved it into the SSE CK and everything is fine. :)

    Hi. Originally, I was looking for a mod that increased FPS in the swamp of Hjaalmarch (I was dealing with odd downspikes around there, while other areas were okay. Already tried decreasing my grass ini's, but that didn't really work either. Had no tree overhaul mods.) So I stumbled upon this mod, and, dear mod author, you are a godsend! Not only is my Skyrim more IM~MUR~SIVE, my FPS has increased too! From 40-45, to 48-55 with this mod! Thank you!

    EDIT: Just saw you made this other mod called Distinct Skyrim Landscapes. After I've seen your work with Hjaalmarch, I'm definitely going to try it out!

    This probably wasn't the intention, but this mod makes the swamps not only look amazing, but run much, much better.

    I used to dread going anywhere near Morthal because I would crash without fail every 5 minutes, now I'm running the area smooth.

    Thank you for the mod that FINALLY fixes the marshes!

    theres a problem with the Enhanced Towns and Cities mod... in Morthal, there's a house in the west end of the town, "Thonnir's House", added by the mod. The building is just by the lake, and with "Hjaalmarch Redux" it disappears, living only the door in mid-air and little bits of the overall structure of the house. When i walk near the disappeared building it causes the LOD and the whole scenery around me (buildings, floor, trees, etc) to pop-up on and off until i distance myself from that spot.

    Just to let you know. I hope you can fix it, eventually, so i can install your landscape mod. Good stuff overall.

      I had the same problem with EtaC and Thonnir's House. It's a shame, absoultely love the ambience of this mod! That and the fact that LOD:s are all fucky.

      ETaC compatibility will be coming with the release of DSLR and if things go well that should be some point this summer! The LOD issue will also be solved with the release of DSLR! Once I've released DSLR 1.0 I'll start cracking on compatibility patches. My top priorities will be ETaC, JK's Skyrim and the Hearthfire DLC and after that I'll consider doing compatibility patches with other highly requested mods.

    Crashes in Morthal Area. Not recommended if you have +200 mods running. Without it, everything's fine.

      Would you mind PMing me your load order? I'd like to know where the conflicts are. I've yet to have any crashing issues reported and its weird that they're showing up now. Do you have any other mods that make landscape changes in/near Morthal?

    The Hearthfire compatibility is still broken - Windstad manor cannot be built when starting a new game with Hjaalmarch Redux active. The building you create simple don't show up in the cell. It's not an issue for a game where the mod was activated later.

    I don't reall know much about Skyrim modding, but it worked again when I copied over the BYOHHouse2Exterior EditorFormID for the four Windstad Manor exterior cells via TES5Edit. Apparently that screwed up the creation script.

    Good news! Thanks to this simple mod, I was able to get the proper LODs without having to start a new game.

    No more disappearing trees in the Pale as I get close to them; no more ethereal summoning Nordic ruins as I walk the swampy fields of Hjaalmarch! DynDOLOD was great, but is much more complex and had many features that I wouldn't be using, so this mod is perfect for me, and some others I'm sure!


    I can now fully enjoy your vision of those landscapes.

      Excellent!! Thanks for bringing the release of TES5LODGen to my attention! I knew it was in the works but I didn't realize it had finally been released! I will add it to the recommended mods list

    Love the mod but a nordic pillar punches through the entrance to the Tall Mast Tavern placed by Helgen Reborn it's literally right next to Meeko's Shack. Because of the pillar I can't get into the tavern. Though I haven't started Helgen Reborn and don;t know if the tavern is an important quest location or not I thought I'd just mention it.

      Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Helgen Reborn is on my list of mods to provide compatibility patches for with DSLR so this will be taken care of

      Once I've got an initial release of DSLR released I'll go back and create patches for major mods like Helgen Reborn, so for now I'll just ask that you be patient with my slowness

      Thanks for the reply I think I also might have found incompatibility with Solitude's Dock District as it keeps crashing when I walk into it.

      For Helgen Reborn's tavern, simply use console commands as a workaround and disable the nordic pillars.
