OMG! I could swear they both said Skyrim Special Edition. I'm a moron, nevermind me. There is an issue though. Both of these downloaded to my Skyrim Special Edition folder, this one didn't download to Skyrim LE. Not sure if that's a problem with Nexus or NMM.
As of right now, the install on both sites support both LE and SE so no worries. I will separate them later. I did this since I suddenly started updating and wanted to make sure everyone was getting the latest version regardless which site they downloaded from. The one you linked is an old version that was ported with permission. The current version is aval here and link for SE in mirror list on the description page.
Working on it. Already have it, but going to also see about adding another option along with similar/matching color. Sorry for such a mega late reply! Not been modding anything in a long while.
Great! I don't play SE yet. I've been modding/installing mods for so many years, I haven't even really completed a full Skyrim game with mods. So I want to do that first in LE haha :P
Hello everyone! I agree with all of you that this is THE best septim replacer, and it was sorely missed from my SE playthrough. Fortunately, Crypton has gone ahead and given me permission to port this over to Skyrim SE. The meshes have been optimized for use with SE, and you can download it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21930
A big thanks to Crypton for his work. Make sure you endorse this file to show your appreciaton!
If you guys are also looking forward to completely improve Skyrim's economy system then you should look forward to Bounty Gold, which let's you set the desired amount of septims rewarded for each bounty hunter task, Coins of Tamriel or Immersive Currency, which adds silver and copper coins to the game so not everything is cost based in gold, and Exchange Currency, which adds paper money and there's a patch for Coins of Tamriel so you can easily exchange currencies at merchant vendors.
Alongside this retex these other mods are mandatory for me.
Perfect job.....although i stay with vanilla coins. Yours is a like made it in XX senctury factory - to perfect. Skyrim is a like early medieval times :) But I stil like very much your job....If i can just endorse without downloading...if.....
This texture is totally lore-friendly. The majority of these ancient coins we have now look all rough precisely because they're hundreds or thousands of years old, damaged by time, weather and nature. Back then when people just finished the coins they were as polished as this texture. At least most of them were since I cannot speak for every society that made coins but the same goes for other items such as jewelry, pottery, weapons, armor and architecture.
Some artifacts from the Scandinavians and Germanics Tribes (who were somewhat Scandinavian too since they came from Denmark) were so complex and flawlessly made that to this day people find it extremely difficult to reproduce, even with modern tools and techniques.
Hm didn't notice that , i did use a version uploaded by some other user who then got banned for obvious reasons though , so he may had fixed it already
After some trial and error, I believe the issue is to do with the fact that the default install for this mod is for textures without minimaps. Once I generated the textures with minimaps, the shimmer went away.
The installer does include alternate textures with minimaps, however I'm not sure if their compression is current with the requirements of SE.
Happy to have solved that. This has always been my preferred re-texture.
