As of late, I've been going through tons of old mods in bulk. Just to see what people have created over the years. This one, I felt, was a lesson in not trying to do too much at once. There is so much potential in this project. There is astonishingly clever use of assets, and some truly breathtaking vistas to behold. Yet all of it is unfinished, mindless and meaningless.
I can't shake the feeling that if the author had just focused on finishing each particular area in sequence, instead of trying to do it all at once, this project might have yielded a couple of spectacular player homes and a couple of stunning dungeon runs. Even if they would've being devoid of any real story or character interactions. Just having finished the delves, added some proper enemies and some cool loot box at the end, would've been more than enough incentive to play through these creations.
But as it stands now... It's worth a download, and an hour or so of fun just running around and taking in the sights, and bagging a couple of cool screenshots. Though there really is no reason to keep it in your load order. So save before adding the mod, explore it at your leisure, and once done with it, disable and uninstall it.
Even in its unfinished state, I truly feel it is worth taking the time to explore, just for the sights alone. The floating isle thing is a common fantasy trope, and this thing is so well put together, and in keeping with Skyrims general style, that I could almost believe it was always intended to be part of the game.
I'm real torn about endorsing this thing. On one hand, the craftmanship and vision involved really merits it, but in it's unfinished and basically unusable state, (it kidna is just is a wasted esp slot in your load order as it is now) prevents me from doing so.
too bad it's not going on any longer, I'm roleplaying a character based on Haplo after the events of the Death Gate Cycle by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and this mod would have fit in nicely with the skyship-piloting rune-mage thing.
Dude, this sounds rather ambitious, making all the quests and npcs behavior like you want it will take loooong time, specially if youre still learning. I would recommend finish all the buildings firs, add random npcs, create the castle and make it "free" for the players. And then start making your quests... It looks great though
Are there any, like new NPCs and quests from them or did you just put like iperial soldiers and every town NPCs that just have the same name and just say stuff?
