First of all, thank each one of you for visiting and or downloading this mod. Did it for y'all.
Also, thank you to those who pointed out the guy on steam workshop. My steam name is: Ikon-X
For future reference. I do NOT want this on the workshop. I don't really like steam services all to much as is.
However, I have no quarrels with people re-uploading my mod to other websites as long as you give credit to this page and Me/Raeynne as the author (Saying "I am seppoko and I made this" does not give me credit, that's just identity theft.)
For a long while I've been asked what armors/eyes I used in the screenshots... And I never thought I'd be coming back to Skyrim at all so I never bothered to look...
BUT... I got off my ass and looked after so long, so here you go:
First you will need to download and install Nifskope. I myself have no clue how to use this program but following these steps should help you get to where you need to go.
Open up Nifskope.
Click File then Load
Find your Skyrim Data folder and go open the Meshes folder.
Next open the "mask of blades" folder.
Select maskofbladesmale.nif and open.
You should have a large white box to the left of a bigger black box. In this white box you will see something called 0NiNode.
Click the little arrow next to 0NiNode which will open 1NiTriShape and 8NiNode.
Right click 1 NiTriShape, select Transform and then edit.
A new box should have appeared with XYZ coordinates.
In the Translation selection go to Z.
Change Z from 0.0000 to 0.7000 (Note this is the value I used for a Male Nord which also seemed to look fine on my Breton character as well. If you still don't like the position then I encourage you to experiment a little bit. If your chin clips through the mask then use showracemenu to shrink it.)
Click Accept.
Then Right click 1 NiTriShape again, go to Transform and select apply.
A message will pop up, select try anyway.
Finally select File at the top left and click Save As...
Thank you for this. I had a weird glitch suddenly pop up where the mask would block vision in first-person (I've used this mod for a decade now, and this has never happened before), and this was a good starting point for figuring out how to fix it.
(My solution amounted to creating a copy of the nif-file, moving its Y-value to -10, and then changing the AA-files in CK to use that nif-file instead during first-person. Because apparently pushing it back as far as it needed to would've caused it to start clipping through the face.)
How would I go about doing that if you wouldn't mind telling me? The circlet thing is really lame. Should've catagorized it a mask like the face gear mod instead... I mean, it IS a mask, not a hat or circlet. Would've been alot less hassle getting this to work with hoods and hats.
Hey, I'm having a problem with 3ds Max. If anyone could help me I'd appreciate it. So I want to edit the mask so my male character's chin won't protrude, but when I export it and run the game, the mask is stationary inside my character's face. when I move it stays behind my character. I do import the correct skeleton in 3ds Max, but generally I'm really new to it so I'm probably doing something wrong... I'm also using Mod Organizer and I manually import the skeleton from steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/mod organizer/mods/XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE/meshes/actors/character/character assets/skeleton.nif. It also shows the skeleton in 3ds Max so I guess that's correct. I really can't understand what is the problem... Please help
P.S.: And yes, I prefer going through all the 3ds Max trouble instead of using showracemenu and editing my bosmer's chin. It looks awful to have a male character with a chin that's more inwards than nature would allow, lol
Very good mod, I repeat what someone said in that it is good to an "original" work so to speak, others used dragon priest masks or Nightingale armor for the Jack of Blades, nothing wrong with that but I definitely prefer something that is not merely retextured/colored vanilla stuff.
Only one critique and its only minor but like some said, it doesn't fit males very well. The eyes sockets are too low down and the mask doesn't seem to be fully attached or at least is too small encompass the face.
Since this fits female models better, especially modded ones, this is essentially the Queen of Blades mask XD lol
In fable lore, the Queen of blades was the strongest of the three void beings and fought William (Archon) for days I believe.
I do hope this could be tweaked for males but if not, no worries. Thanks again for this mod.

Tada! Have fun!

This is disappointing.
