This looks really cool, i like the idea and with that in mind, do you think you could create a hobbit race? I'm a little obsessed with The Lord Of The Rings at the moment and i think they would look quite good being in the game.
Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, To Dungeons Deep and Caverns Old, The Pines were Roaring on The Heights, The Winds were Moaning in the Night, The Fire was Red, it Flaming Spread, The Trees Like Torches, blazed with Light.
as for the anatomy tips, i can give some, with pleasure: the overall trunk should be a bit wider if you ask me, but then again, i base myself on the models of the dwarves from The Witcher 2. Normally a man's head is about 1/8 the height of the body, whereas in dwarves it is about 1/4 or 1/5.
So, since dwarves are known to be fierce fighters and with a very low gravity center, we want to give the impression that they are, so increasing just the width of the trunk would be an idea...
After dealing with the trunk, we have to deal with the body appendices: for the upper limb i would focus on the forearm, hand and finger size...after all, it's dwarves we are talking about, they are thick, chuckle, good smiths, not really made for delicate work...that is why i would suggest to elongate a bit the forearm fatten the hand and wrist as soon as you find out how As for the lower limb, i would just thicken them and enlarge the feet juuust a little bit.
That may not sound very proportional, but dwarves don't have regular human proportions.....watch out though! They are Dwarves, not people with dwarfism! so the proportions matter i hope i helped! here are some images that may help you more! Cheers and kudos to you! http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9310/roughblockout.jpg http://digital-art-gallery.com/oid/56/640x1035_10569_Zoltan_3d_fantasy_character_dwarf_warrior_portrait_picture_image_digital_art.jpg

@Leopoldo i can make anything on the skeleton bigger, but i cant make it looks fat yet i dont know how big things should be, as i said, tips(especially about the dwarven anatomy are welcome) now, the bigger problem with the hands is to scale them on the first person view, i know it uses another skeleton, but i dont know if is possible to change the first person skeleton between races
@Lumenbeing glad to know there's people working on the beards, i wish u good luck =]

I'd say invest in making some proper dwarven beards. Y'know, the kind that are braided and cover most of their torso.
