Great textures. Just one question - does this mod really need an esp file? I'm at my 255 limit, so esp space is precious - and this only changes one thing so I'm not sure it's worth the sacrifice of another esp. Is there any reason it isn't just a straight texture replacer?
EDIT: never mind, I read the other posts! Just the textures it is!
Nice retexture - endorsed. I also recommend Smaller Ice Spike (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31899), though it'll make it harder to admire you work.
Thanks for the supportive comment; even something this simple seems more convoluted to share than I'd anticipated!
I posted the textures as a seperate .zip, which by golly would have been way less of a headache in the first place... and uh oh, a hard cap... I will be in trouble soon, I imagine, since so many mods out there are too pretty to pass up!
Lovely retexture, thank you! I love little touches like this.
I would suggest using loose files instead of a .bsa, which would negate the need for a blank .esp to make the .bsa work and free up an .esp slot for anyone close to the hard cap.
Well as I mentioned I have no previous experience with any of this, and only wanted to retexture so it didn't look so... not icey. So that is all I did.
As to the size of the bolt, as far as I know Nifskope is more for checking things out and Blender is something you'd use to actually modify it... But to re-iterate, no experience whatsoever. I have done the equivalent of going out a door and seen the sun for the first time.
I will test it to compare, thanks for sharing, though a quick question,I was looking at it's mesh file how to shrink to half this so big ice bolt but I couldn't find anything(not well skilled with Nifskope..) do you know a way to reduce its size to half...?
EDIT: not good that you replace its normal map with a..nice "common" texture.
