Ideal. Dosn't add any new meshes or textures, dosn't require exotic materials like Daedra hearts or human flesh, makes sense from a canon and immersion standpoint (just where the flip DO all these soul gems come from?), and works with every appropriate crafting station I've come across, even virtual ones (crafting spells and temporary stations). Precisely what I was looking for when I was looking for it. Thank you, and enthusiastically endorsed.
Weather or not the crafting of soul gems is a alchemical process, a physical forging, a magical technique, or some eldritch combination thereof, is a debate for another day.
Now, let us ponder just why Falmer don't have grand souls. Did they somehow lose thier sentience along with thier sight? They may be evil and degenerate, but they remain Mer, and are most definatly intelligent. Puzzling.
These are just my two bits. great mod btw. Concerning some of the negative comments about the choice of using ingots to craft soulgems and that metals should not become soulgems. i would argue that those comments are only half right, as only the steel, quicksilver, and gold ingots are metal. Corundum is a crystal, Malachite and Ebony are volcanic glasses(and therefore crystals). As such, personally i have no issue with corundum, malachite, and ebony as reagents for this mod.
I do not wish to create more work for Nexbr, and i will use this mod regardless, but in spirit of compromise and still keeping within the spirit of the mod i would request an alternative file that uses the following recipes:
=========== CRAFTING ===========
2 Petty = 1 Corundum Ingot (corundum is twice the price of steel, therefor a single corundum makes 2 pettys 1 Lesser = 1 Corundrum Ingot 2 Common = 1 Malachite Ingot OR 1 Common = 1 Refined Moonstone(moonstone is15 gold more expensive then the quicksilver, and a little bit harder to obtain with thirteen less veins then quicksilver, but moonstone is a gem. alternatively, 1 Malachite is equal to the cost of 2 commons) 1 Greater = 1 Malachite Ingots 1 Grand = 2 Malachite Ingots 1 Black = 2 Ebony Ingots
=========== SMELTING: EMPTY ===========
1 Petty = 2 Soul Gem Fragments 1 Lesser = 2 Petty 1 Common = 2 Lesser 1 Greater = 2 Common 1 Grand = 2 Greater 1 Black = 1 Grand + 1 Ebony Ingot (this is 50 more gold then a malachite ingot, but easier to obtain with 39 veins of ebony vs 21 veins of malachite, also it makes sense to use an Ebony ingot since originally it takes 2 to create a black) =========== SMELTING: FILLED ===========
1 Lesser = 1 Petty Filled 1 Common = 1 Lesser Filled 1 Greater = 1 Common Filled 1 Grand = 1 Greater Filled 1 Black = 1 Grand filled
Again, by no means is Nexbr obligated to create a second file with these changes, but it might increase the popularity of the mod and the changes still support the purpose of the mod, to easily craft soulgems.
Thanks for the tips, I'll try do the changes, I'm busy with Fallout 4 now, Like: https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/2216056 I'll see what i can do about that, But no ETAs.
I may have mist the point or does the nexus is out of date and there is no more new mods for Skyrim in the late 2013 or 2014. But the downloadable file for this mod seem to be a retexture mod not the craftable and smeltable soul gems.
You can SMELT Soul Gems to Create other Soul gems. And you can Craft Soul Gems with ingots to be easy to find and the crafted soul gems it is the same price of a Soul Gem.
If you don't like The Crafting Option, Just use the Smelting option.
Sorry for the Delay i was far from Skyrim and Skyrim nexus.
Thanks to Preykousis by the Video, can i use on Steam Workshop and Here?
Soul gems are crystals not metals. They go under alchemy, growing crystals from potions made from harvested ingredients. You could also add regular gems plus gem fragments as catalyst for crystallization of potions.

And if so do we do it at a forge or smeltery or somewhere else?
Magic.

Just thought I should point that out.

I agree with the others, use gems! There's so many gems and the other crafting materials, like ebony, are at a premium.
