Damaned if this isn't the most important mod I have second only to Legacy of the Dragonborn - I managed to port it into SSE but the second I load Legacy of the Dragonborn the mirrored glasses turn black. I'm going nutz trying to figure it out - disregard this post - I'm just ranting
Is the creator still around? I tried to send them a PM. I missed this mod in SE so much I converted it over. All it takes is optimizing the NIF files (takes seconds) and updating the ESP in the creation kit (just takes seconds excluding the kit's load times).
I was hoping they would convert it or give us permission to add it to SE. It works perfectly with just a few minutes of work. But I would not dare upload it over there without permission and giving full credits. But anyone who wants it in SE, it is a very easy procedure.
To anyone reading this, it really is as simple as described. To anyone needing step-by-step instructions: 1. Use nif optimizer on the meshes, 2. Load the plugin into CK and click save. Yep, two steps. That's it. Works as planned!
hi ive been following your mods and i think that its amazing. 5/5. Ive been wondering those piercings that you use is there anyway we could get them too if so that would be cool another 6/5 rating.
I simply must complain about the amount of packaging used in this mod. A huge chest for six pairs of sunglasses? Don't you have any concern for the environment? It's not as if wood grows on trees is it? Next time please use a small sack or container suitable for the size of the items.
I know this might be a few months late but there is a way to do this if you are comfortable using TES5Edit. It's not a hard change to make as I've already done it myself (along with a slot change to make it compatible with other mods I use)
Instructions:
01.) If you don't have TES5Edit download it and install it.
02.) Open TES5Edit and it should find your Skyrim folder (if not look at the TES mod page for help)
03.) Right click the first box the pops up titled: Master/Plugin Selector and choose Select None
04.) Scoll down to find Elewin Sunglasses.esp, check that and click OK at the bottom of the popup
05.) WAIT until you see Background Loader: Finished in the status bar at the bottom of the screen
06.) Click the little plus sign next to [01] Elewin Sunglasses.esp
07.) Click the little plus sign next to Armor
08.) Select the first Editor ID 111ElewinShadesMagenta
09.) Find the line the reads BOD2 - Biped Body Template
10.) Under that find the Armor Type
11.) Click the row next to this where it says Light Armor
12.) Move mouse along the row away from the text and click the row again (the first time you do this you will get a pop up asking if you are sure you want to edit this the yes option will be grey out for about 3 seconds so read what it has to say but then click yes and you will need to click the row again)
13.) you should now receive a drop down arrow at the far end of the row (if you get a popup window close it and click slower)
14.) Select Clothing from the options in the drop down menu and then click anywhere else outside of that row
15.) Repeat steps 08 - 14 for all the shades
16.) Once finished click the red X to close TES5Edit
17.) you will get a new popup with Elewin's Sunglasses.esp with a check mark and at the bottom another check mark next to Backup Plugins DO NOT UNCHECK THESE just click Ok
All done the glasses will now appear as clothing in the menu and shouldn't affect the armor spells
Sorry for the long post but I've written this so even a dummy can follow along and not make too much of a hash of things but even if you do mess it up you will have the backup and there is help on the TES5Edit Page on how to restore those
