Porting it now for personal use and will check if it can be done easily. Happy to make the port official if the author gives consent. Alternatively, unless samv96UK prohibits it, I can share it privately through the nexus. Just zap me a message. This mod is such a lovely, unique little gem. It deserves a new lease of life!
I'll post below if I run into any insurmountable problems with the port. If I don't, assume it's working.
I have had Syerscote installed for a while now during a few different play throughs. Admittedly the interior cells are quite dark, but I still like how the buildings are arranged.
I encountered the issues with merchants not being open during regular business hours at times. The stores do seem to be a bit inconsistant and are often locked, but other times everything seems business as usual.
Actually playing the quest to determine the allegiance of Syerscote for the first time. It takes a bit of thought, at least for me, to find the clues; however, the quest progresses and updates fine up until the execution than the game crashes. I have tried a couple times with the same results. Now I'm going to try reinstalling Syerscote in case something has become corrupted.
UPDATE: Reinstalling did not help. The cut seen for the execution begins okay, but the screen goes black as the prisoner calls out his final words than the game freezes / crashes at the black screen.
I still like the village so for now I'll reload an earlier save and avoid the quest.
Over all the mod is fairly decent and I can tell you spent quite a bit of time developing it. I have a few recommendations and a couple of bugs. Bugs: NPCs dialogue doesn't not always line up with mouth or movement. In the study, I have to jump over the table to get past the door. It is as if there is an invisible barrier. The aspects I feel need improvement is that the town feels very crowded; most of the buildings are sandwiched together although this would be normal considering the era that inspired the developers of Skyrim. It just feels as if something is missing. Perhaps a few houses added away from the main square? The player home's interior is very small and crowded. I find it to be esthetically very well done, just not really functional as a main residence. I use it more as a rest stop. Also, everything is static. The other thing I disliked was having the player home attached to the gallows. I feel that the gallows should be somewhere independent of the homes. During the era that Skyrim is inspired from, gallows would mostly be in the center of town or just off the main public area. Anywhere that was high profile. Again these are my observations and criticism. Overall I feel that you did an excellent job on this mod and due hope you will continue to develop it. I did also provided my endorsement.
