  As someone who has been modding for over half my life, and someone who has sunk
  thousands of hours modding Skyrim, I personally feel that the monitization of
  mods will split the community and cause conflicts over ownership. Looking at
  some of the mods on the Workshop, it seems Valve does very little about content
  theft when it comes to mods.
  
  While I certainly can understand the allure of a little extra spending money,
  and I can see a potential increase in modding support from companies owing to
  the fact that they suddenly get an increase in their income, the negatives are
  far more prominent in my mind.
  
  I doubt this system will allow "the professional modder" to arise, as I doubt
  most mods will garner en...
