    This was fixed in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, making this mod obsolete.

    It would be nice to mention it in the description.

    If users still experience this issue with USKP, they should first check their load order for things that overwrite USKP's files and then apply appropriate compatibility patches.

    Not needed if using "SkyRE" as of around "0.99.18.5" stated by the changelog, for anyone wondering.

    "- Keening: Infinite charge, increased value, greatly buffed "Mortal Wound". After the related quest is done, buffs Stamina by 25 and movement speed by 10%."

    I've downloaded and installed 1.3.1 using the Mod Manager, but what I installed was apparently labeled as 1.3, so it's telling me I'm still out-of-date.

    So... How can I fix this? I hate seeing those "you're out-of-date" symbols. ):

    I'll second that it's higly possible that they intentionally made keening rather worthless in the game, something I'm sure you're aware of regardless.

    Nevertheless, nice mod i appreciate it, endorsed. The dagger isnt overpowered anyway so Im glad I can use it without regrets. Makes a lot of sense that the daggers still has power left even after the heart is gone, and that it requires fuel.

    Actually Keening having a default charge of 0 isn't a bug, it's lore related as ryuzaki79 said.

    Thank you very much for this useful mod.

    The probable reason why Keening by default is set to 0 charge and no option to recharge is because the Heart of Lorkhan was destroyed. Makes sense that over time, Wraithguard, Keening and Sunder would loose it's power over time making them an antique yet useless set.
    Perhaps when Construction Set is out would be nice to add a quest that would unlock the power of Keening (make it rechargeable) related to Morrowind Lore. For example, finding lost notes of Dagoth Ur, or find the other tools, or find pieces of the Heart of Lorkhan. Anyways just a idea so feel free to disregard it . Great job so far!

    Investigations into why followers won't equip Keening have turned up no results. I removed the Mortal Wound debuff, and followers still won't equip it. I turned the value up to 5000 and got nothing. I quadrupled the damage - still nothing. I did all of these at once, and still no results. It's not related to it being a dagger. Companions would equip an iron dagger over Keening, even after I quadrupled the base damage. It's not script related, because I gutted the scripting completely to remove Mortal Wound. Nothing in the keywords looks out of place - just that it's a non-enchantable dagger. Mehrunes' Razor is, too, but companions will equip that just fine. Sorry, folks. I'm out of ideas.

    The only good news is that I found a different bug with another item during my search so I have a new project, if you consider another bug good news.
