Not sure if this has been fixed or not, but I am having trouble getting both the child's room and the enchanting room. When I buy one the other disappears. Do i have to complete the thieves guild to be able to access the enchanting room? Thanks.
At the risk of sounding utterly dumb, but is the main file (from 12/31/2012) to be used with only the vanilla game (no HF)? I don't have HF in my current game, so just want to double check. Many thanks!
Edit: OK, Mod Organizer tells me the main file indeed does not require Hearthfire. However, TES5Edit finds quite a number of ITM's but zero UDR's; I have cleaned it.
Enchanting room and child's room will not be appear despite attempting to buy, option to buy does't disappear from options when speaking to the steward either.
Have searched the house several times, and even re-loaded the mod. Should not have to look this hard to enjoy a house mod. Could you at least say if it is in the house? or Riften?
Oh man lol people still having a hard time with this, basically if you just stand near and look at some things on tables and dressers you will find it because the press e for blah blah will pop up when you find it.
It is fun to watch how many people complain they can't find the switch in this house hehe:-)
Any mod that alters the same house will affect the mod in some way. Trying to combine two mods by loading one before the other will result in stuff being strange places or not working at all. The huge amount of loot in the screenshots is the reward for becoming leader of the guild yes but it isn't really that bad playing the guild quest and you can't get all the stones of barenzia without going into some poeple hosues plus some of the thieves guild members have a tie in to dragonborn DLC and you lose some of the story without doing the quest anyways. Killing mercer is probably the most enjoyable part of the quest since he is one of the biggest jerks in the game next to maven and some of the jarls. For all my hosue mods I try to get in as much useful lighting as possible in a way that someone actually living in it might install.
I actually haven't played through dawnguard yet because I am trying to get my skyrim install up to a certain minimum modded point first before playing through again so I don't know for sure about any bugs with dawnguard and house mods.
Regarding the alleged Dawnguard incompatibility, I just downloaded and tested the non-Hearthfire version and there's no issue whatsoever (except a candle in the housecarl's original bed, but that's added by Enhanced Lights and FX, I think, since I had that in my old modded version of Honeyside as well). How was Dawnguard supposed to conflict? My guess is the messed up downstairs BelleDragon reported is due to her/him installing the mod after having entered the house once before or not properly removing other mods.
Anyway, you got my endorsement. Switched to this after TheClone Honeyside stopped working for me for some reason I couldn't identify. From the screenshots I thought AC HoneySide was over the top (gold ingots and stuff everywhere), but I guess either you only get that once you've finished the TG questline, or it's just your personal version of the house. I had to enable the secret rooms via console though, since I won't play the TG questline. Took me a while to find the switch. (Apparently your ESP is the 42nd in my load order; had to find out that number by clicking on something added by the mod after your suggestion didn't bring up anything.)
These Vanilla house mods deserve more attention I think. Because they're the ones you actually have to work for instead of just downloading an independent house mod (yes, there are some with storylines and quests attached to them, but most don't), so Vanilla homes -to me- are way more rewarding, but only if they are actually good. Vanilla Proudspire is ... underwhelming, to say the least. And Honeyside is my favorite except it has way too little storage. Your mod fixes that without overdoing it like some other mods that just cram in barrels and stuff in places they really don't fit aesthetically.
Yes, having a problem. In the guest bedroom (I guess that is what it is) where there are two beds, I have overlaid over the beds, a large hay bale on one bed and a table covering the other. Tried using console to delete those items, not happening. No other problems so far, but I have yet to complete the thieves guild quests. I do have screen shots if interested.

PS: If you are taking requests, could you add the "Unlimited Bookshelves" mod to the bookcases in this house?
