    If I installed this I wouldn't be able to walk through a dungeon anymore.

    If you would like a mod very similar to this without the bugs there is another mod that:

    1) Does reset the timer every time a potion is used.
    2) Fixes alcohol to use different effects so that they don't show "Wine: Restore 15 Stamina points each second for 0 seconds" (for example).
    3) Integrates a very important ingredient fix made by "The Unofficial Skyrim Patch" a long time ago, that your mod overwrites - along with a couple of other fixes!

    Someone mentioned this mod just as I was about to upload mine. Had I seen this I wouldn't have made mine, since we use the same duration and magnitude for the potions - vanilla style. But considering the bugs with this mod I'm glad that I did create my mod.

      Without all the bugs he says.. and yet his mod also contains bugs and isn't supported anymore. When I read that mod's description it sounds pretty arrogant, the author mentions about 5 times how bad other mods are and how good his mod is in comparison.

      Anyway, downloading your mod, It's exactly what I need.I will use it together with gromits cooking mod to balance out alcohol and food too.

      The only thing missing is dlc support. Are you still working on the mod?

      Also, what bugs does my mod currently have? I think its fine.

      It would be nice if it made potions on a cooldown, but I think as it is its fine. Drinking another potion resets the counter, but it doesnt stack the effect. So its still limiting the effectiveness of potions quite well.

      Also I think it is a good option for people not wanting to install Skyrim Redone, which does include potion durations (but also many more things people might not want!)

      You posted the same thing on the other Potions Restore Over Time mod. Pretty lame to promote your mod by trash talking the competition in their own comments section.

      To anyone reading this: I've been using this mod for ages and it still works fine.

      Competition? It's just a fact that Immersive Potions is a better mod. If you want to chug potions with this mod you have to time them perfectly, which is extremely hard to do. It's not like we earn anything by uploading these mods. I made my mod after realizing that there was no competition. If you read 1-3 and still wonder what the bugs are well... Keep on using this mod I'm sure you won't notice any difference anyway

      It's not even updated for the DLC's...

      I also use Immersive Potions back when I still played Skyrim. it was a great mod and i liked how customisable it was.

      EDIT I actually used Dynamic Potions. much better

      No, nastakanoth. Your mod requires all DLC while this mod requires none. Please send us all the money via paypal to buy all the DLCs and then install your mod. Until then I'm going to install zyg0tic's mod (which is also on GEMS).

    If you've noticed something special about potions made with Moon Sugar I would like to tell you something....

    I accidentally overlooked that when I was making the mod. But it is now a feature. It seems to suit Moon Sugar too well to change it.

    A great mod for realism buffs! "Potions Restore Over Time and No Spamming" is now featured on GEMS under category 930 - Alchemy.

    No it wont reset the timer. Ideally it would but I don't know how to do that with the CK and it may involve scripting which Im clueless about.

    If you use the strongest potion, along with restoration magic, and tactical shouts/spells you'll be able to survive. And once you get in the habit of those things itll become as easy as spamming potions again really. One-shot-outta-nowhere is really what you have to watch out for, and the only preparation for that is HP+Armor+Resist+Become Ethereal.

    Just out of curiosity... if the effects don't stack, does drinking a second potion in the midst of that five second cooldown at least restart the timer?

    So say you're about to die, and you have the potion, and your know you're wasting some of the effects, but dammitall you need that extra bit of length while you're busy running away, will it work? Or do you just completely waste the potion anyway?

    Y'know... I still love the way The Witcher 2 (maybe the first one? I have no idea how it handled potions) handled this problem by adding toxicity into the equation. Short of that, though, I still think this is probably the best route I've seen taken.

    I'm gonna give it a try and see how it plays. Looks like it's definitely solid work though! Thanks, and keep it up! Always love to see mods that actually serve to make this game kick my ass again.

    Yep I tested it with crafted potions.

    Update: I didnt test it enough, and didnt realise that looted potions didnt have the over-time effect anymore. So I fixed it, please download version 2 instead thanks.
