While I applaud the fact you made this mod, and I see what you were going for, I have just a comment for ya, take it for what you will: You seem to have tried to texture this like regular moss that you would find on the bark, ground, etc. Hanging moss is actually quite different!
Its long, stringy looking stuff. At least I felt like your texture was aiming for the more, static, moss. I could be completely wrong and I apologize. I am by no means discrediting your work, just offering my thoughts!
EDIT: I also love the fact you found an area where its "stealing" the moss. Ha, ahaha. Oh, Skyrim.
I've been hoping someone would do this! Otherwise, I might have had to try it myself, which might not be good, lol. I do have to agree with the statements made in previous comments, but it does look a lot better than vanilla. Your texture, though, looks more like moss you would find on a rock or tree trunk rather than moss you'd find actually hanging somewhere, but only because it feels a little too... thick and dense, I'm not sure how to explain it properly. I'll be downloading and testing it anyway since it does look way better as well as tracking so I can keep an eye on your work - I see a lot of potential!

- Desaturated texture
- Added support for lower resolution option
- Included the blue hanging moss found in the Dragonborn DLC
I'll be adding screenshots as soon as I can.
THANKS!!!

Take care.
For example, take a look at this mod, which makes the moss high definition, but doesn't make it have black blotchy areas all over:

I would try a new version with some yellowish color mixed in, and semi-transparency if that's possible?
