Might be an old mod, but a lot of people still play Oldrim, so I greatly appreciate this criminally underrated mod. Vanilla Alteration is almost garbage, because L-3 Mage Armored Ebonyflesh doesn't provide enough armor to take a hit from many late-gate enemies, but Dragonhide's ridiculously short duration, two-handed-casting, and massive casting cost made it utterly impractical to use.
Yes, but it's just the name of a spell, not actual dragon skin you're wearing.
I had two reasons for calling it "flesh". 1) I wanted to avoid any conflicts with existing assets (I'd already had one bug that way) and 2) it's the top-of-the-line of flesh armor spells, so it's consistent that way at least.
nice idea, but in technicality the lore of this doesn't stand up. Dragons' flesh has the same density and strength as human flesh, and that is why the have their hide(scales) and why the spell is called dragonhide not dragonflesh.

Dragonhide is simply not worth casting in the vanilla game.
I wish I knew how to fix or work around it. I got the same thing when I tried to modify the Dead Thrall spell. It's really annoying.
