Falkreath Crash Question (7 comments)

    In response to post #19845524.
     
    1st I would like to know if you are using BOSS or LOOT.
     
    I use LOOT, and still have BOSS, but have not used it since LOOT came out.

    Also NMM (heavily recommend to manually change your load order) ???
     
    I don’t use NMM, I have always use Mod Manager.

    At the 1st look your load order appears unsorted to me (might be LOOT then).
     
    I took the list copy from Wyre Bash, after using LOOT to sort it.

    Also have a look at my screenshot in the user section with my load order.

    I also suggest to go back to the save that doesn't depend on any of the added mods
    (Skyrim Savegame Scanner by Mikanoshi helps to see what mods a save depends on)

    Normally you don't have to uninst. those mods.
    Unchecking the ESPs in the plugin tab of NMM will do.
    Make a save outside of Falkreath.
    Then add one of them (preferably ESS 1st) to track down the focker.
    Either add more to a new save outside of Falkr. or try another single one with the save form above (unique savegame names via console 'savegame BLAwithBLUB000x' might help to always pick the right one).
    I see you also use Immersive Settlements.
    You might want to take a look at Expanded Towns and Cities by missjennabee.
    She has integrated that mod into hers.
     
    I have thought of it, but I don’t care for the changes that it makes. This is not to insult a fine mod, it is just not my particular cup of tea.

      Just in case you don't know ETaC is modular, too.
      But I have to admit that I still didn't re-inst. it yet, although I love it.
      More just out of lazyness and the fear of my obsession to deep-check everything on necessary patches

      Did you check her out her tips about CTDs ?
      They are useful even without having ETaC (and give lazy me the opportunity to lean back).

      Something else:
      Back in time before the mempatch by Sheson (now included in SKSE 1.7 - needs activation ! )
      I had regular CTDs when crossing certain invisible borders.
      That stuff is also mentioned in MissJennaBee's advices.

      Further I prematurely suspect it to be something like a load order thing
      and dare to exclude ESS, iNeed and Sup.Storms.
      I don't know anything about Hunting in Skyrim and Realistic Nights.

      Try them last (after testing the other 3 ) or both alone.

      And please give me a detailed description of what you are doing (even about working constellation) , if it is not too much effort.
      I am very interested in your problem

      Well, I tried to start a new game with the new plugins that I mentioned disabled, but still CTD whenever I enter the area around Falkreath proper, just down the road from the unmarked bandit bridge, also when I fast travel directly, and exit Dead Mans Drink Tavern (using the Live Another Life mod). Unfortunately, I think a fresh install might be in order.

      I should note I am using SKSE 1.7.

      Was something about Better Towns Textures, Immersive Settlements and a patch for them.

    Sorry to bug you with this, but I recently did a complete/fresh reinstall of Skyrim with my chosen mods. I have been trying for a more immersive feel, since I usually play a bard/archer. The only new mods that I have added are as follows:

    -iNeed - Food Water and Sleep by isoku
    -Hunting in Skyrim - A Hunting Guild by B1gBadDaddy
    -Realistic Nights by MountainFisherman
    -Expanded Snow Systems - Climates of Tamriel Version by JonusL2D
    -Supreme Storms - Cot Version by MannyGT

    Since adding these mods, I have had a constant CTD whenever I am in the Falkreath area. As near as I can tell this is specifically around the main city, since I can go by the area added by the Oakwood mod.

    The only thing I can think of one of these (possible “Expanded Snow Systems”) is conflicting with another mod (maybe Sounds of Skyrim). Thank you in advance for any help you may give with this matter.

      You could have a try with the tool you don't use.

      I still use BOSS and my twisted logic to hand-place unsupported ESPs.

      Also have a look at my screenshot in the user section with my load order.
