Yes. I have used High Level Enemies with Ultimate Combat many times. They both do different things. High Level enemies adds enemies and makes all enemies higher in level. It does not affect any combat mechanics. Ultimate Combat affects combat mechanics and adds health to some enemies. If you are familiar with Xedit, you can create a patch to carry over changes from a specific enemy's record from both mods. Example: carry over the added health to Dragon Priests from Ultimate Combat with the Level adjustment from High Level Enemies. The patch is not necessary for the mods to work together but you can't have added health + higher levels because only last record wins. I hope this made sense.
Yes, I understand you perfectly, but I don't use xedit, unfortunately, I have never tried to see the program or use it, thank you very much for your answer, have a great day
Love the mod, it does work as intended as long you dont install mods willy nilly and then complain your game is borked. Not all mods get along together people.
Agree. I've used this mod in all my playthroughs for many years and have had no issues. I have spent many hours learning proper and safe modding practices and it has paid off with rewarding game experiences. YouTube is our friend when it comes to tutorials for modding practices.
I am trying to install high level enemies in vortex and am encountering this errorInvalid XML: The element 'config' has invalid child element 'installSteps'. List of possible elements expected: 'moduleDependancies, requiredInstallFiles, optionalFileGroups'. (Line 2, Pos 182)I can bypass it and install the mod, but I am not sure if it is working.Anyone know about this?
Can anyone please help a bro out? I'm getting head body color mismatch with the Dremora and i'm trying to fix it but i need the facegeom number and not sure how to find it.
Nope never did figure it out. Is it better to have this lower in your load order or higher, as well is it better to have it installed before body mods on the left or after? The mod says it draws from regular npc and levels them up and renames them so not sure what may be the issue. Nothing is overwriting it nor is anything being overwritten by it on the left pane in Mod Organizer.
It's been so long now, I don't know what my solution was. So many people ask for help, you spend 5 min checking notes, writing out a solution, to have them never come back, so I didn't spend my time.
My first thought would be to DL MFG Console https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44596
Go in game, find the NPC with the issue. Open console & click on them. With MFG you will be able to see their Base ID. Open the CK & put the B ID into the search bar.
NOTE If the base ID is something like 8000000, there is more work to do & it can kind of suck.
EDIT I see you commented almost a month ago. I never got a notification, despite tracking this mod & you responding directly to me...
Unfortunately lots of the human type npc added by this mod will have upper scalp color issue without new facegen files made with CK. I'm not currently using "High Level Enemies - Falskaar" so don't know if that bsa has any issues. The "High Level Enemies - Dawnguard.bsa" and "High Level Enemies - Dragonborn.bsa" added facegen textures were fine only the main "High Level Enemies.bsa" had these issues. Here is the one i made for myself for anyone else doesn't know how to do it. Dunno how long the file will last on mediafire
High Level Enemies Facefix http://www.mediafire.com/file/1l6dnry537oboep/High_Level_Enemies_Facefix.rar/file
I don't know what causes the black face bug. I have mods that one npc will have it & other mods where no one has it. I don't recall seeing this issue in my game with this mod.
What causes face color mismatch most of the time is when people make mods with uniquely named npc's and don't include facegen meshes and textures like "More Bandit Camps" for instance or make some for most but forget a few like this mod and the uniquely named Dremora for instance. Lots of the facegen textures he provided in HLE for a while now are broken. Trust me i went looking in older updates. The whole top of the scalp in lots of the facegen textures he provided is a solid dark color and he didn't provide any for dremora hence the head color mismatch i was getting for them. Those are all the ones i fixed. I use SkyUI so i don't need MFG Console but thx for suggesting it.
Hi, firstly thanks for making this. I just wanted to double check, to get this to work with vortex is it as simple as downloading the .rar then in Vortex use 'Install from file'?.
Visually Vortex looks like its installed and enabled it but I can't tell if its working ingame. Although to be fair I am using an existing save. I tried waiting like 7 days ingame to see if it would make any difference but no luck.
I'd love to see a simplified version of this mod that only levels up enemies, and doesn't add anything. Maybe it could also keep enemies 5-20 levels higher than me up to a certain level.
Great mods, moving to hardcore tho. Is there a way to scale the enemies up ? Like 1.5 - 2x what is currently programmed ? I need ennemies to be about 3x my level so my 2 followers dont just kick them in the b@lls haha
Unzip the file, go to folder fomod and open ModuleConfig with an editor. Replace following: <config NS0:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://qconsulting.ca/fo3/ModConfig5.0.xsd" xmlns:NS0="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> with: <config XSI:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://qconsulting.ca/fo3/ModConfig5.0.xsd" xmlns:XSI="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
its still not working for me and I got another Error : "The installer High Level Enemies-27866-1-6.rar is invalid and couldn't be installed: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1 Please inform the mod author."
I'm getting a error while trying to install the mod. Tried redownloading the mod and everything and it's still giving me the error. This is what im getting. "The installer High Level Enemies-27866-1-6.rar is invalid and couldn't be installed: Invalid SML: The element 'config' has invalid child element 'installSteps'. List of possible elements expected: 'moduleDependancies, requiredInstallFiles, optionalFileGroups'. (line2, Pos 182) Please inform the mod author."

High Level enemies adds enemies and makes all enemies higher in level. It does not affect any combat mechanics.
