this mod is to old somehow i got it to work with tes5edit but for the most part it wont work at all we need some one to update it so it can be used without the SPIKE.esm that is what most likely casue the CTD
For requiem users, the requiem patch for immersive armors has it's own option to add IA and IW content to NPCs for the newest versions of both IA and IW. If you aren't a requiem user, then that doesn't matter much I suppose, but if you are rejoice and download!
Tbh not entirely I still respect this mod since it makes the armors unique in respect like the new stormlord armour sure ulfric wears it in v7 but so does random npcs also (I.E bandits) I still think this should be updated.
Hi Im re-moding my game on nother computer today. After installing a lot of mods i've load TES5 EDIT ... And it appears that SPIKE.ESM is missing so it cant load. I know that spike.esm is used in immersive weapons / immersive armors and i installed thoses both ones and the loading end correctly when i uncheck immersive weapons / immersive armors ^^ Any idea ? :O
The latest version of IA (v7) is no longer dependent on SPIKE.esp, so it isn't packaged with it. I'm content to uncheck this mod in my load-order until it is updated for v7
I don't know if it's this mod or not, or a combination of other mods with this, but I was not able to get Golldir to follow me at all. The option would never show up. I did a new playthrough with slightly different mods, but mainly the same, but this time I was not using this mod, and things are working out fine with the followers. I will confirm if it is indeed this mod that was causing Golldir to not give me an option to become my follower, but he doesn't have the full chainarmor he was wearing before. Can anybody else confirm they were able to have Golldir follow them with this mod applied?
Super appreciative of the work this must have taken you.
So would you or anyone else be willing to make a customizable version of this mod? As in, one that gives us some ability to decide which characters we'd like the mod to affect?
Several people disagreed with some of toolmjk's decisions in the original mod (like giving noteworthy Redguards Alik'r outfits just because they're Redguards, even if it isn't appropriate to that character's origins or lore) and he replied by admitting he made some armor assignments just because they looked cool or because he wanted to show off that particular armor.
No shame in that, but it just goes to show that this is the sort of mod that kind of demands a buffet element rather than one all-or-nothing package. Some of us are after aesthetics and some of us are after lore consistency. Some of us even disagree about what lore consistency is. I admit that Ralof's Heroic Stormcloak Armor, while very cool, makes him look like he is of higher rank and importance in the Stormcloak army than he really is, and undermines his whole "everyman soldier" vibe. I'm sure others would disagree. toolmjk himself said he put the armor on Ralof so you could see a cool NPC armor very early on.
I agree, it would be nice to have some level of customization as to which NPC's get affected. It kind of bugged me that Hadvar, Rikke, and Tullius were all wearing the same armor.
And to ask with this comment, will you be making one that adds Immerse Weapons to NPCs as well. That way they show off not only the armor, but weapons as well.
Raw666, far as I know, Immersive Weapons already works on NPCs. I've seen several NPCs running around with weapons I KNOW they didn't have in Vanilla Skyrim.
For Immersive Weapons to work 100% on NPCs it must be loaded after all armor overhauls such as ARMONIZER or Immersive Armors. Sadly you will notice your NPCs using the awesome weapons but not wearing custom armors. The only way to get them to use everything is with a compatibility patch. I advise you create your own comp patch. Just open up these mods in tes5edit and under the "+Non-Player Character (Actor)" section edit the NPCs you wish. It's as easy as dragging and dropping armor/weapon records. If you have no idea what I'm talking about and screw this up you can just re-install the mods to change the records back to default. It's good to learn how to create compatibility patches though as it will really enhance your gaming experience in all Bethesda games.
Open the file in TESVEdit. Then delete from "Non-Player Character" the changes you don't like. For example if you want Rikke to wear original armor. Just delete her entry in the list.
When you're done, just exit TESVEdit. Make sure that the changes you save is only made to this mod. You'll see a checkbox next to the mod.

BTW looks like immersive armors v8 does the same.
