My son and I love these guys - though I'd prefer a deeper voice for the bear. Endorsed.
Bug: Haven't seen anyone else report this - both I and my son on separate computers have been hit with the final stage in the "A Night To Remember" quest series (find Sam Guevenne) when walking through the spirit house toward the spirit guides.
I love this japanese mythos related mod. These Kami spirits are the best! I would like to see more kami with custom voices though. I think the desires to have a western european form of this mod have been well stated below but as a student of japanese history, these are great! I would like to give them money at their shrine though for a short time stronger blessing. and if they could occasionally give me a seal of protection or something I would like that.
Couldn't get radiant bounty letter quests with this plugin checked. Unchecked it and it worked just fine. Please fix! My forsworn warrior queen is lonely....
I love the idea totally! I'm a lot into animal spirit guides, but what I don't like is, that they have human voices. Find it kind of immersion breaking. At the moment not using it, but keeping an eye on it!
Endorsed anyways! =)
The chosen spot for the spirit house is quite ok, I think. But a place deeper in the forest, maybe around Falkreath, would even be more fitting. Near Falkreath there's also the White Stag appearing, who could be the spirit animal's prince. (Not saying more here, because I don't want to spoil.)
About the Japanese names: I find them out of place a bit as well, but the Akaviri story sounds plausible at least. However, one can change them easily in the CK to more Northern type of names.
really good Mod, but it would be perfect if u can make it something like "temporary blessing" given by spirit as long as its in party, because its replacing blessing u had before. eNDorsed
I primarily chose Asian names to maybe flesh out the Blades or other aspects of the Elder Scrolls lore.
The Blades originate from Akavir which has an Asian flare to it. There is also Yokuda where ancestry worship took place.
I could see a scenario where spirits from these lands were drawn to Skyrim by the Dragonborn.
A lot of the names I took out of Japanese folklore or Shinto beliefs. Okuri-inu was part of Japanese folklore I thought was appropriate. I'm no expert of course.
The Spirit House was placed there so that maybe new travelers after picking their Standing Stone focus might also like to pick an animal guide.
Thanks again for the feedback. It's all appreciated.
I really like the idea, I'm getting this mod. However, it is Skyrim, why do they have Japanese names? They should have Nordic names to make it more lore friendly.
This mod is quite interesting. But there are some things, which aren't very clear for me. Why do the spirits have japanese names ? Why did you add new things to the road between Helgen and Riverwood ? You could also use the Sky Heaven temple. And why do the name of the wolf spirit contain the word "Inu" ? I thought this word means "dog", not "wolf" (or something like that).
