This is a good mod as it gave me my basis for my mods I'm building I'm building my mods on the idea of the series with the lore of the elder scrolls. So far I have Vampire Lord race kain who can wear vanilla armor, Draugr race wraith raziel with vanilla armour based rags but am finding it difficult to find an armor similar to kains.
Hes the best looking most awesome Kain mod for skyrim iv ever seen though if i had any issues before installing/endorsing its wondering about a few custom things to include from his game such as is he a voiced follower? also did you plan on making him a Preset so people could play as him?
You mentioned his cape being an issue you could always use things from others mods and just mention where you got things it would suit your needs and you would do less work in the long run

also, i never found the clothes on a barrel, the clothes was on him already
