    This is an older mod but I just wanted to give others a heads up. I spent the last 2 days trying to figure out why I couldn't start Skyrim. It turned out whenever I enable/installed than 4 of these 'Lore-Worthy' mods, I get an instant CTD. I have over 300 mods installed and maybe it's a conflict with a specific one, but once I removed all of them, the game worked fine. It also worked fine when I added up to 3 of them after I tried different combinations, but when I added anymore, my game crashed. Again, this is just a heads up. Here's a list of the mods:

    I love this idea, instantly added to my modlist, many thanks for your inspired idea. I also felt they were lacklustre in the base game <3

    i dont know about the rest of you guys but i am playing in expert mod and hagravens are more than a handful for me

      i think they are supposed to be very dangerous indeed,read the lore and look at the facts there are a mission of the companions(last mission or almost) you need to be very good already ,well you don't need but make sense and its better to be for you to kill 5 in 1vs1. ( it will be because they are alone and separated) .In default its not so hard and they did not look nothing like the lore ,now with this mod the fight will be good for sure (i not tested yet ).we are speaking about a being that speak with daedra and have is help that are very good in both melle as magick a being that can give lycantropy with help of daedra to humans(companion lycantrophy was like that) and that can create the terrible briar hearth or something ,resurrected, savage wild warrior immortal stronger in comparison with the others of is tribe that use magic too without a hearth. So hagravensare powerfull.You better prepare before fight these.

    Oh, wow...that was the problem. Thanks man. I've been away from Skyrim for a while, but have recently picked it up again and--upon arriving at Orphan Rock--I realized this problem was worse than I had originally thought. Have a sweet roll on me!

    I think I know the problem: The drain health spell is set to be cast by either hand. Hagravens only have animations for left handed casting, so, because it's flagged for use with either hand, the hagraven would try to equip it on her right hand and glitch herself out because of it.

    Make a copy of Vampiredrain04, open up the copy, and change the equip type to "LeftHand". Give the Hagraven the copy and remove the original. That should fix it.

    Hmm, when testing it on the Hagravens at Bard's Leap Summit they still spam fireballs almost exclusively even with the mod installed (one of them cast a healing spell once). I've tried fighting them about 4 times. I'm running the game with dawnguard.Guess I'll do some more testing!

    I don't think your problem is related to this mod. I didn't actually do anything to the scripting or AI so I don't see how anything I've done would have this effect (I've also had the problem you mention occur with other npcs BTW). You might be able to fix the problem by respawning the actor (via "resurrect" in the console).

    When I used this it wasn't working. The Hagraven I ran into would just stand there.

    they do still use all their original spells.

    Version 1.2 removes the (accidental) Dawnguard dependency.

    Might want to mention this requires Dawnguard, unfortunately I don't have
