For anyone who wants to fix the flawless topaz icon

    - Open the creation kit, go to File, click Data, and open the mod (set as active)
    - Go to where it says *All in the Object Window at the far bottom
    - Write topaz in the Filter box
    - Double-click GemTopazFlawless and you'll have the MiscItem window open
    - Delete VendorItemClutter in the Editor ID box
    - Right click and select add and look for VendorItemGem
    - Click ok, close the MiscItem window, save, and you're good to go

Is there a way to get this to work with Gemling Queen Jewelry? I really like the retextures and such she has done for the vanilla jewelry, but I'd like to use the same stuff in the different combinations of this mod. Basically, something to allow me to use these other jewelry options but keep the visuals from GQJ for the new items.

I second that! I think someone would have to ask her.

IF this mod is not dead, could it include Necklaces? It would be nice to have a Silver Amethyst Necklace. Would fit nicely for a conjuration jewelry...

Nice mod, it bugged me horribly that you could only combine certain gems with certain metals. Thanks for fixing this, the freedom is particularly appreciated by me who likes to transmute iron into silver and then into gold and make jewelry out of it to sell, now Im not limited to only using cerain gems together with the gold.

Is this mod dead by the way? If not, it would be cool if you added jewelry that uses other primary materials, like ebony, moonstone and malacite, since those are all viewed as exclusive materials.

Also, I think the jewelry crafting sysstem should be overhauled so that you first make the the plain jewelry, like, two gold rings, THEN you imbue it with the gem you want. Beacuse normaly you create two rings from one ingot of metal, but when you want a gem-studded ring you make it form the gem and a ingot, the ingot wich is usualy enough to create TWO rings, is when gems are involved suddenly only enough to make one ring.
Thats why I think that creating the plain jewelry and imbuig it with gems should be seperate processes, to get a gold and saphire ring you have to first make two gold rings from one ingot of gold and THEN creat the gold saphire ring from the saphire and ONE of the two gold rings, so that half of the gold wont have mysteriously dissapered, only beacuse you wnat ed to include a gem.
I really think that amount of pieces of jewelry you make per ingot should, from a liter of gold you could make probably make not just two - but probably dozens of rings, but I suppose that that would be OP and gamebreaking. The price of metals like gold would have to be either heavily raised or the value of jewelry heavily nerfed. So its probaly best if we simply keep it this way.

I know Im asking much, but unless all of these features where in one mod, they would clash and/or overlapp you would have duplicates of crafting recepies and inconsistencies.
Still, these are just my suggestions anyway, I dont demand you to do anyhting other than that wich you want to to your mod, I dont even know if youre still working on it. These are just suggestions.
Anyway - again - nice mod.

I love you. I've been searching forever for a mod that simply adds Silver Sapphire and Silver Emerald rings, and NOBODY has done it before this. I've seen plenty of other mods that add new rings and necklaces, but they never added those two rings. Is this compatible with any other jewelry mods? I have Expanded Jewelry Crafting which adds lots of new rings using the other types of ingots, but it didn't add things like silver sapphire rings.

    *edit*

Hmmm, I seem to be having some problems. I loaded up Skyrim to make sure the new mods I loaded up were working, and I can't seem to find any of the rings from this one in the list of jewelry to craft. Are they items that only show up if you have the required materials? I looked for the Silver Sapphire Ring and couldn't find it. I can't seem to find it in the list of mods, either, even though I've tried downloading it a couple times. How would I manually install?

I'm not sure if this is still being worked on, but I was wondering if there was any chance of adding a silver and diamond ring? Thank you!

Khotus, are you still updating this mod? If so, a one request: is it possible to make a version of the mod where items added to the game are compatible with headbomb's Better Sorting? Or maybe an extra plug-in mod? As a perfectionist, I love having the expanded jewellery options (why they weren't in the base game I do not know), but that same perfectionist grinds his teeth every time he sees 'topaz' and 'flawless topaz' floating around my inventory, without 'gem -' in front of it!

Another lesser request (being a real nuisance, I know, but these are just my game preferences), but is it at all possible to do a version without the topaz smithing? With the gems added to the levelled lists, and with the stones of berenziah quest completed, I find more than enough topaz without having to craft them, and as I can't craft any of the other gems, that same perfectionist (yeah, he's an ass) in me rolls his eyes and mutters something facetious. Many thanks, and hope that this mod is still active!

Nice little mod. I like the new combinations for smithing. There is a tiny bug, the flawless topaz is labeled clutter.

@khotus. "100 vertices to recolor for each gem by hand"

I had the same issue back when I was making jewelcraft. I'm assuming your using NifScope for change the vertices colours. change the first one of each block of verts (often the colours you want to change are seperate sections), to a random known colour(remember it's hex value) and then keep note of how many verts there are to change in the block. Then get a program called Hex Workshop, find the hex value that you set for the colour. select the whole block using the select to(?) command using a bit of maths to find out how many bits you are selecting. then just find/replace the colour you want in that selection. takes a bit of fiddling and you will often make mistakes that will invalidate the mesh and make odd things happen, so ALWAYS back up, work in a different folder and have a play till it works the way you want. still tedious but a LOT less tedious than changing the colour of each vert one by one
