So btw, when will the COT patch be out? No specific date yet? I'm kinda excited already because your patch is awesome. I like the snowstorms during high places like High Hrothgar
Great news! But it has almost been a month now and I wanted to ask if you could give us an indication on when you will upload the 5.0 update for the CoT version?
Anxiously awaiting your CoT update! Your weather work is so amazing. I just started a new playthrough with CoT 5 and the new Frostfall and they're great; however, I find myself really missing the torrential storms!
Wish I was fluent enough in xEdit to patch....someone did FadingSignal's True Storms for him since he was lost in Fallout 4. This is a great mod, Manny is off to other things now I guess....sigh
For some reason my game works fine with CoT 5 running this mod as well. The storms are still as heavy as ever; and I haven't experienced any noticeable bugs... so for peeps who are abstaining from CoT V because they're afraid of incompatibilities fret not...
Agreed. I'm running CoT 5.0 with this mod as well and I'm getting the same performance and effects comparable to running them with CoT 3.1, and there's no noticeable bugs or anomalies in my game at all as far as weathers go. I've been running these two mods together along with Manny's Supreme and Volumetric Fog for a few months now and I have not had a single issue yet. Just to note, I'm running these on a small HP Pro with 4 gb ram, Pentium g630 CPU, and a 1gb gtx 650 ti GPU, so you don't need a high powered gaming rig for these to run well together either.
I concur with what KaizenKiin says above. CoT 5.0 works quite well with this mod and also with Supreme and Volumetric Fog as well. Anyone waiting for an update to this mod should really install it and see for themselves.
I don't know what you guys are doing, but for me it doesn't work with CoT 5.0... I can see for 100 miles far when it's raining or snowing... :/
EDIT: I actually never realized how small this mod is, so I opened it up in TES5Edit. I can confirm that it is working 100%, it's still compatible, but I just don't really like the effects of this mod. The most important things this mod does is altering the rains/snow particle size/density/speed and add this blowing fog effect, which I also don't really like/see the point of as most of the weathers this mod alters aren't very heavy rain/thunder storms at all in Cot V.
Patches for those who follow the Step guide and have these mods as well Climates of Tamriel 5.0 Expanded snow systems COT True storms Real shelter Realistic Nights Hypothermia
Think these mods really make the weather cold better.
Loved how this mod works until I realized how the NPCs would react....during heavy rainfall they would still be outside..no a care in the world about being drenched, I though I need some sort of patch with Wet and Cold but there seem to be none. Are the rains always pouring that hard? Or are there settings for the rain?
is the weather located around the character like a screen overlay and not in the world space, the weather effect moves with you as opposed to you through it
Don't know if this has anything to do with your mod, but when I use console commands to change the weather to a snow storm, there is no falling snow of any kind. There also is no naturally-occurring snow either when I speed up time and wait. The rain works perfectly fine. I am using True Storms, with the patch as well. Any ideas? Anyone?
EDIT: FIXED!!! It was due to an esp called "ENB Snow FX" from Seasons of Skyrim ENB.
Just heard about this mod and watched the intro videos. Is the snow now ALWAYS so strong? I liked the vanilla snowfall, just wished that "sometimes" it's stronger.
no every storm is not that strong. if u using climates of tameral this will force it to act like 3.1 instead of the nedw 5.0. u have to manualy go in and change all weather on cot patch to 100 to match the new COT values.
