Hello. First of all the visual aspect of this spell is GREAT. But i cant mine stalhrim! Have I done something wrong or is the mod just not compatible with dragonborn and hearthfire? Will it be fixed or should i just find another mod?
I have this same issue, I believe stalhrim cannot be mined because it is not an "ore" since the game places a requirement for an ancient nordic pickaxe to be used when mining stalhrim. Thats my theory anyway.
Stalhrim can be mined with this mod. You'll need to open this mod with Dragonborn in TES5Edit. Locate the tools form list DLC2StalhrimMineOreToolsList and copy that as an override into this plugin. You then add the AAAExtractOreProjectile2 projectile from this mod into that form list. If you want to play it safe, you can also include the AAAExtractOre spell.
Then upon talking with some other mod creators, they found ( suggested, from their experience ) when something like this is HARD SET - the likely hood was/is the mod in question was not really doing the Ancient Ice Pick association correctly. I'm only a beginner mod creator - so scripting is out of my knowledge right now.
I know 1 mod creator that tried to do this - use another option to mine Stahlrim - and failed and he has written some pretty complex mods and scripts and has a serious working knowledge - and he too was hit with "flaky" results.
As I stated, the 'answer' is above my Mod Creation experience - but as I asked questions it would seem it's a scripting issue.
That is why I just went back to using the Ancient Ice Pick.
I think I know where the "flaky" comes in. There is at least one Stalhrim source (could be more) which uses a different script setup. This setup causes the stalhrim deposit to disappear when it is mined. The scripts for this do not have the OnHit event. So in these scenarios only activating with the correct pickaxe will yield ore and cause the vein to be disabled. The other Stalhrim sources that are respawnable and use the standard mining scripts can use any tool or magic listed in the appropriately modified tools list.
It isn't that it is hard set, it is just that they assumed the player would activate rather than attack.
do you know the form id tool list for log ? (i,e DLC2StalhrimMineOreToolsList) but for the wood log choping? nvm even after adding it to woodchoppingaxes list dosent work T_T i wish it were that simple but is not
Hey so tried this mod out (advanced) correct me if I'm wrong but with the transmute spell you only gain alteration experience upon cast of this spell, and not say for each time you convert an ingot to lead or lead to a desired ingot? Hopefully someone can confirm or deny, and if you only gain experience upon cast, perhaps alter it so you gain experience from each conversion? (perhaps in the advanced)

It is made clear that it can only be mined with the Ancient Ice/Pick Axe.
I tried IsharaMeradin's and it worked and did not work. So the jury is still out on that one.
But again, it is made very clear that you need the ANCIENT Ice/PICK AXE

Bound armory presented a problem but nothing I couldn't fix using Tesedit.
