This is a damn nice looking mod, just wish there was an SSE version available Guess I'll try converting it for my own use... we'll see how that turns out :S
I have a question. When I make a bashed patch this mod breaks completely. I tried excluding it from the Bashed Patch but it still doesn't work. When the bashed patch is not active the mod works. How do I fix this?
So I almost downloaded this, except I don't like how it removes "the" from the start of titles. But aside from that this seems like a great mod and very helpful for organization!
The manic OCD person inside me is really tempted to give this a try but wondering if anyone has tried using this with Unread Books Glow (self explanatory) and Sometimes Pick Up Books (which lets you pick up books to read later unless the book has to be stolen), or moreHUD (adds icon for unread books in inventory). One of those also adds an asterisk in front of unread book titles too - can't recall which but I think it was moreHUD.
Actually tempted to fire it up, see what happens and keep my fingers crossed.... I really find the series of books starting with numbers annoying... they have the title then the sub title and finally the part number so the order is all over the place... same with books series >9 without a leading 0 in the part number and books numbered in roman numerals.... seriously, what was Bethesda thinking???
Have noticed a couple of books that the 'type' has changed to "note" rather than "book", which means if you're running SkyUI the icon changes too which looks odd. And some of the covers seem to have changed.... one set that had matching covers is now a mix of covers. But neither of these glitches are game breaking and both combined aren't quite as annoying as the way they were titled previously.
As for the quest books, I did pick up one quest book and even though the quest was active it didn't show on screen... "Return to X", but it did consider it a quest book as it wouldn't let me drop it and it did change the quest in the journals and completed when I gave the book to the recipient. Hoping this'll remain true for any more quest books.
I see it's been over a year since the update and don't know if means anything but I've just discovered that this mod doesn't work together with Read And Learn Speechcraft Speech, only the one loaded under the other shows up. Both are must-have mods in my opinion and I just wish I don't have to abandon either... A compatibility patch of some sort would be much appreciated in fact!
I've been alerted to a conflict between this mod and my own, Dragonborn Book Bounds Fix, now integrated into the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch. Basically, most of the books added in Dragonborn lack proper object bounds, which is not a problem in normal gameplay, but when used with a mod that improves the vanilla bookshelves such as Better Bookshelves of Bookshelves Script SKSE it cases the books to clip through one another. My mod and UDBP fix this by adding proper bounds to those objects.
This mod makes modifications to those book files as well. Looking over the mod in TES5Edit, I notice the Dragonborn DLC books lack proper bounds, and I've gotten a report from a user that your mod reverses my fix when placed later in the load order. I haven't tested it myself yet, but because of this evidence I suspect your mod is removing the book bounds added by my mod/UDBP.
Though this is fairly minor incompatibility and only affects users who have a bookshelf-improver mod, it's fairly important for those that do and is quite easy to fix. Just copy the bounds over from my mod/UDBP for the books your mod changes, (they're near the top of the object view in TES5Edit, under OBND - Object Bounds). If I don't hear back from you I'll consider fixing this myself and uploading a patch since your perms/description seem to allow that, but I may not get around to that and really it should just be included in the base mod. Thanks a bunch.
Unfortunately, this mod is not compatible with the "Book Covers Skyrim" mod. I liked having the simplistic organization provided by this mod, but the amazing covers in BCS won me over. Hopefully we can see an update to Organized Books that allows it to work with BCS.
I have had to put a short hold on making the Compatibility Patch between Book Covers and Organized Books because I need to check what the impact would be for Book Covers players who don't have all three DLC. I will be making a Book Covers Skyrim - Legendary ESP shortly and will carry on with the Compatibility Patch once I have completed that.

Overall a definite improvement IMO!!

I've talked to the BCS creator and he's adding an Organized Books compatibility patch. Thanks for letting me know.
