I love it over the vanilla version. There's only one problem, chain-mail shouldn't cover the palms of the hands as it would make it harder to feel the hilt of the sword in your hand. Not trying to be mean, just to make it somewhat more realistic, you could replace the palm side of the gauntlets with leather. Great job, though!
With this mod plate is my favorite armor at this moment. Circumstances allowing I would like to see something along the lines of crests, designs, engraving, or any other type detail work in the black areas. Other things i can think of for ideas would be to change or work on the fur around the front and rear groin areas, maybe lengthen/shorten or even change the material to a different type, maybe like the dwemer cloth. Maybe a decorative or heraldic tabard over the top of the armor? I don't know if any of these idea could be done without the construction kit but it's at least food for though.
