Like they have no texture? Are there textures in Skyrim/Data/textures/actors/pony (or does this folder exist)? Or are you using the Crimes against Nature version?
i am using the original i uninstalled and reinstalled the mod but when i go back into the game the characters are grey and luna and celestia are invisible the only thing i see from them are fire and i forget wahat luna was
?Did you use a program to download/unzip the mod? While that shouldn't have caused a problem, especially if you have the textures to begin with, the only other thing I can think of is to manually download it into Skyrim/Data and unzip/extract it to there.
Also if you are using Skyrim SE or a pirated/outdated copy of Skyrim, it won't work (there's a separate version of the mod for SE, link is in the description), but in either of those cases, it shouldn't load at all, as opposed to loading but with missing textures, so I'm not sure what else it could be.
You could also try to download the Crimes against Nature add-on, that uses a completely different set of models.
i had the original installed a while back on Steam XD. i might make a new video on this. i wanted to seeing something interesting so i asked Princess Celestia if she could crash the sun into Nirn XD.
I was wondering if I could get some help with this mod. All the ponies are invisible, and I can't work out why. They're definitely there, I can interact with them, and they fight and stuff...but they're invisible. I've tried reloading the game, but it doesn't work. Also, the polymorph spell isn't working. The animation comes up when I use the spell, but I'm still me afterwards. No change whatsoever.
I think there's an issue with how I've put the mod in. I don't use a mod manager because I couldn't get it to work, so I've done it manually. Also, I've never used mods before. So chances are, the problem is something I've done wrong. Any help would be very much appreciated
Edit- I am actually having so much fun with this I can still interact with the invisible ponies. So I can ride around on them, and it looks like I'm floating. Also, I got to watch a saber cat battle with thin air and lose. I tried to keep track of where my invisible pal Vinyl Scratch was by shooting her with arrows, and then just looking for the floating arrows...but she attacked me for that. She killed me XD Invisible ponies are fun! (help would still be good though)
Thanks, glad you like the mod- There are a couple things that can cause the invisible bug, the most common is if the textures weren't extracted properly. Check skyrim/data/textures/actors/horse and see if there are a bunch of pony-themed DDS files inside. If not, then that's the problem and it can be fixed just by manually downloading and extracting the mod into the skyrim directory (not the data directory, as some mods do).. This should fix both problems if this is the case.
If the files are there and it still happens, then I can't really be sure--it can be anything from other mods that affect horses (in which case loading this last should fix it) to older graphics cards that don't support some of the texture settings used.
its been a few years but i have it as my only mod and for me all the ponys are either blank gray versions of themselves except sunset witch is a weard red triangle.. i was wondering in the time if a fix has been found for this
Yeah sorry, I did that to enable them to attack and cast while riding them. It has been so many years that I don't remember what I did to enable it, it was probably a universal change to the player or riding in general because I didn't modify default horses beyond putting a camera in the skeleton, which means mounted archery just won't work well with this mod. You can still fire a bow if you're quick enough, but not pull back and aim, so it kinda sucks.
Can I somehow cut manes for use as hairstyles? Along with the Crime against Nature, I would like to cut out a few of them, and the experience in modding is zero.
It's probably possible but I don't know how to do it, as I've not messed with character creation. I didn't make Crimes against Nature, the author contributed an addon with improved animation, so they would know more about it than me.
Try saving once you find them and then loading. There's a bug with some companions in which their scripts (needed for talking) don't load until the first time the game has been saved/loaded after they appear.

I have a problem with the mod, when riding any pony or horse, it does not allow to use the bow instead the mount makes an attack
Any idea why?
