Soon as I saw this mod I thought of Discworld's Luggage, the ill tempered box with hundreds of feet. I do have to say, yours looks alot more lore friendly
I love this idea, I'm going to be playing a Necromancer on my next play through and I was looking for a way to have her carry more stuff without using back packs or satchels. Going to role play her as kind of vain and concerned bout her looks, not the type to strap bulky pack to herself and would rather have someone else carry her heavy stuff for her.
Unfortunately I was also not going to use Followers other then her summoned minions and of course they can't carry stuff for her so I needed some kind of potable storage that wasn't over powered and this is perfect. I especially love the customization. Although it does feel a but out of character for it to be a Dwarven Spider rather then some magical/undead creature.
I know I can make it look ghost like which helps but I was just wondering did you ever consider making alternate models for the luggage? For example maybe a version that uses the "Magic Anomaly" model from the Collage quest line? Or maybe the "Mistman" from the Soul Cairn in Dawnguard? (Although for Mistman that would require making it Dawnguard dependent unless you made it a separate file, Magic Anomaly would still be good for a pure vanilla alternative) I think those would be very cool.
Please note this is a simple question, not me making demands or requests (I despise it when people ask mod authors to change or add things purely because they want them to do it.)
I don't know how much work would be involved in making alternate models or if you feel it would be worth the time due to the lack of attention this particular mod gets. (I know you said you didn't think if would get much attention to start with but I feel it deserves more.)
I was just wondering if you ever considered alternate models, I'll still be using it for my next play though regardless.
Wow, a storage mod that actually works and isn't overcomplicated with idiotic craftable items or scripts!
Mostly I'm just using the shared chest/safe between player homes since my character is a warrior. Had no issues whatsoever with chest contents being lost like with other mods. SkyUI integration is great and the menu options are very useful to personalise the mod.
Glad you like it. I originally made it because many of the storage mods were completely overpowered (free, infinite storage anywhere you want) rather than because they were overcomplicated or unreliable. Even as a warrior, you might still want to find the spell, and you may want to buff up the storage amount per skill level if you feel it isn't enough (maybe make it 2x so at 15 alteration it can carry 30 lbs) so that the summon doesn't go to waste.
Anyway I hope the mod keep working fine for you. I am thinking about making a compatibility patch for Hearthfire as well as many mods which will add chests to those houses too.
Yes I upped the storage multiplier so now it's perfectly usable even though my character is not a caster.
Heartfire compatibility would be great but since the same storage is shared between the safes found in player houses and your personal dwemer luggage, there is a convenient way around it at the moment.
This mod is very niche. I don't think many people like this kind of middle ground - they either don't use chest mods, or they use completely overpowered ones. I never expected many endorsements, and I am fine with that.

Also, this mod needs waaay more endorsements.
