@ghosu: Thanks for the tips. I figured it would make more sense like that ... hm. Currently I'm getting myself involved in texturing. There's a great hand painted texturing style that I would love to be able to do. Actually doing it for another project, but it will come in handy here if I keep it up.

@Saiodin yah I have a few friends at a local MTG shop that play and they usually just stick to using Skype or Vent when they play ranked. I'll throw in with them; keep me from having to deal with the 8 year old brats cursing on the chat log.
I'm talking 'bout subdividing the model, adding more details, create the normal map and use it on your low polygon model - this is something a texture guy might want to do. And this is much easier to handle with quads and triangulate it for the game afterwards "> greeetings
