Is it necessary to start a new game with this patch? I've been editing the FormID list of "bad" weathers to add and remove weathers as I see fit, but once in-game my changes seem to be ignored and I still get lightning during weathers I've removed from the list... Since your mod/patch works with scripts and quests, I assume those only run once when installed and then never again unless forced or something?
I tried this patch with CoT 5.0 and at first i thought it worked fine. But later in-game i was doing some things in Whiterun with a beautifull sunny day. In Whiterun i went from shop to shop and when i wanted to enter i got CTD. Even when i was running or walking in Whiterun again CTD. So i unistalled this patch and went on playing with an earlier save that has never seen this patch. Everything was fine again. So in other words... This patch is a no go with CoT 5.0 as far as i can tell.

So i tried the patch found on the main site. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15506/? And thus far no problems yet. So if anyone has problems with the patch found on this site, try the other patch found on the main site of Lightning During Storms.
According to this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEvbIgFPx9c), CoT 5 already includes a patch for Minty's Lightning mod. Thus, no patch is necessary.
Thanks for the heads up! On second thought however, I doubt there is built in compatibility for Lightning... Why would the guys over at COT not mention any of that?... I just took a look at the patch plugin, and it's still using all the right FormIDs, so I think it would be wise to keep using the patch for COT 5.

I am getting lightning during various snowstorm weathers with this patch is that intentional? At least I can turn it off at that time but still, something I think you should look at. other than that these two mods work great thanks.
I have the same issue.. I get full lightning storms during blizzards, which I feel is a little much. If it isnt intentional and it is a bug I cant figure out how fix it. I am also getting lightning when its partially cloudy and every rain storm has lightning which is overkill for me. I removed the mod for those reason, but I still think it is a pretty sweet mod over all
This mod is causing riften forge to have a magical effect applied. When uninstalled the effect disappears, when installed it returns. Seems like maybe the forge was hit by lightening and a bug caused it to stick there. The only way I know to get rid of it is to find a save when the forge is not affected which is many days of gameplay. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
Edit: 10 minutes after posting this I figured I hadn't tried the old favourite disable then enable. Anyone else has this problem, that's the way to deal with it...
Having trouble with Cot, Cot-weather patch, true storms and pure storms. Basically Lag that makes the game unplayable. I desinstalled this and the game runs perfect.
I put this if because someone is having this lag issue with a heavy climate modded game, the culprit was this mod.
By the way nice mod i´ll look for updates that makes the mod more stable.

according to this, the update was done to ensure compatability with most patches... afaik the only broken one is the old weather patch

Never realy know if LOOT sorts this right. Load before or afer COT DLC esps? Load before or after main Lightning mod? Thanks dude!
