Yes. you have to load it on the SE creation kit and resave it, to update the file and then add the new voicetype as default voice to the race you are going to use in the playtrough. I did this in my merged patch (made manually, not auto-patcher) for ease of mantaining compatibility with other mods.
Now on the last slide of the pictorial guide I kind of got lost, do I add the folders myself or does the plugin that is made suppose to add them? All I have in the skyrim.esm is crdraguarvoice and femaleeventoned
Where do the PCEVmale/PCEVfemale folders come from? Followed the guide to the letter, but those folders are non-existent, despite having the .esm installed + the PCEV voice set as my custom race's voicetype. If I make them myself, then what?
My whole objective with this mod is to record and use custom voice files for shouts.
EDIT: Found out you have to install the oldest form of the mod to get the folders + files. Bunch of .fuz files, not sure what each file is supposed to be and how to replace them...
i have tried this in sse seeing it works well,after doing the process as showed i keep keep getting messages that its incompatible,would i have to port it thru ck to fix this issue or no
For those of you who use a custom race and have ctd when a voice line is activated (i.e: while about to shout), remember that if you followed the steps in the pictorial guide you must don't forget to extract the audio files inside PCEVFemale or PCEVMale without Create subfolders. This mod is giving CTDs when I swing my weapons plus my character is completely silent (no sounds at all), is there missing audio files from the mod itself since it creates a completely new path for player voices.
I used this mod in the SE version, and it works well, just follow the steps given by the author, and then delete the audio of the original sound file. Note that the player sound effect is deleted instead of the entire sound file. This is a perfect mod.?
This mod seems like it's exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully I don't run into any of the crashes the other people have experienced, but I don't know why a mod like this would even cause that to happen. However, we can go further. I'd love to see someone make a mod that lets you change the player character's VoiceType in-game using the MCM, with support for VoiceTypes added by other mods.
Just wanted to reply to this to note that I hadn't played this game in quite a while, came back and my voice stuff got reset (steam reinstall) but I had all my old assets in storage. When trying to reinstate the mod, I couldn't get Creation Kit not to crash during the setup process. Your comment saved me and now it's working properly. Thanks a million!

The SkyrimEditor.ini file is a file that comes with the SkyrimSE Creation Kit installation.

For those experiencing Creation Kit crashing, you need to ensure that the following line is in your SkyrimEditor.ini file:
SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa
This is in addition to:
bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1
bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
Assert
File: ..\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.cpp
Line: 2871
LOCALIZATION: Error opening or reading string files
Can Anyone please help?
