If you continue to work on this you should add priests to the temples that sell spells that they would probably sell. Most commonly restoration, but they may have a conjuration in the mix or something of the like.
@Kevmachine I almost did that in my jobs mod, the npc had to go visit each shrine in the wilderness, I will probably add it here, it could be a nice little start to a quest line if I decide to go further.
For a small quest line, why not make it a pilgrimage. Akotosh could be more interesting, but if you are doing all the temples it would be cool to make pilgrimage like Morrowind.
@Mysticentity: I actually have my own script that cast the *blessing* on the player, I am quite unsure what makes it so the effect stack or not. I will need to do further tests at some point and explore some more.
@littleork I believe you can make blessings that don't overwrite each other. You'd just have to use a different Skyrim script that allows the activator object to give the player a spell, rather then use the blessings script. Or you could roll your own script...but then you run into issues of people getting dirty saves. The end result would be the original blessings don't stack and the ones that you added at the various temples do.
how about add a talos temple with some rough looking gaurds outside with dead thalmore every where . make the temple it's self a little worn looking as if they had to deal with daily thalmore attacks.they can take our empire but they cant take our FAITH!
and if a stendar temple is added some one needs to make his lost relic , the 1000lbs hammer of stendar from tribunal .
I second this as a great idea! Reminds me of fable 2. Donate a certain amount of gold at such and such a time and receive a reward from the God's. Good times.
