A cleaned, fixed version of this mod is now available here: Birds & Flocks - Ruhadre Patch It is a replacement for the phinix version, and is based on my SSE ported version of Birds & Flocks. All dirty edits gone, and it won't stop you from building in Winstead Manor etc. Also, changes made by Update.esm have been carried forward. Kudos to Ruhadre for releasing this.
Alright, let's face it. This is the mod you have desperately searched for in your load order and disabled for at least 286 times, rebuilding your DynDOLOD. Love it!
The post saying this mod will stop you from building Winstead Manor is correct. It's a pity, because its a good idea, but has too many problems. I'm not a modder, but I noticed the area which Winstead Manor is built on has some stuff which might be causing problems. I found two Hawk Feathers, and I know from past games that there's a third hidden somewhere on the plot. There's also an invisible Cast Iron Pot. I can get an [E] Empty prompt when I find it, but I can't see it, even using the TCL console command. Who knows what else is hidden there. Maybe if the creator of this mod were to update it, clearing the plot of land first, there wouldn't be a problem (just a thought).
I just found out, that the foundation and walls of my house there were invisible. So I only deactivated the esp of this mod, loaded the savegame boefore I started to build and did it again. This time I could see what I did, everything was there. Then I tried to reactivate the esp and it was still there. I could even build further....
Thanks Steve. Just for the record, Loot warns about this with "Incompatible with: Hearthfires.esm. Use either BirdsHF.esp or BirdsHFclean.esp" message. I guess it's irrelevant right?
Confirmed. I reverted to my save when I had bought and arrived at Winstead Manor, but hadn't built anything yet, then uninstalled this mod and proceeded building without problems. My game also runs quite a bit more smoothly as well. I really did enjoy this mod, though! Excellent work.

Yep. Phinix's fixed version is the Hearthfires version (and it also fixes the issue that prevented building Winstead manor).
So when I tried out that mod,I would hear the sound of the birds but I can't see any birds around. :S I tried the hearthfires version and the normal version, the clean and non cleaned but all of them had this problem.. So what am I doing wrong??Can you help, please?
For three times i downloaded/reinstalled the mod. Every time LOOT finds 48 ITM's.
Not that it is really important, is pretty easy to clean, but most for the "Cleaned" Label.... Should i being doing something wrong, i really checked the version i download, still.....
Yeah... I wish they clarified what the diff is there. What does CLEANED mean???
I mean... it sounds favorable but why include the uncleaned version? Why would one pick one over the other? What what whazzah huhsy what?
The fact that the mod author failed to clarify this added with the reports I'm seeing here that this is causing people problems with things... this makes me think I'm going to avoid installing this one... even though I do love birds!
This is a very old file, it's going to have ITMs. Exactly 50. Will it break your game? Probably not. If you're nervous just clean them out with tes5edit. There's guides all over the place.
There are Patches for USLEEP plus script lite packages and script heavy packages. Plus there are Patches for Compatibility with 101Bugs. They are all safe to use if properly patched. Even the "unclean" one to a point.
