The main file was updated with UNPCM fur armor. Big thanks to halofarm.
It should be found with the name "Alvilde's Fur Armor and Alvhilde's Fur Gloves". In case of updating from version 2.01, you can add it through console. For everyone else adding her for the first time, she should start with it.

Thanks for the continued support and kind messages, everyone!

Hey so im having a small problem, i am enjoying her as a folower a lot, but itll be really fun to have her get infected by a werewolf NPC, but she is stuck as an essential, so basically, im trying to set her as non essential (via console commands since mods dont seem to work on her) and i dont know her npc code in order to do it, the one that i get when i click on her doesnt work either. SO, what im asking for is, What is HEr npc console code?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAQ
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: HOW DO I INSTALL THIS?
A: Download the main file, open with 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), and drag the Data folder into your Skyrim directory. The folders are organised so that you don't have to do anything else except for EITHER opening the launcher and activating the AlvhildeFollower.esp there OR if you have NMM or other mod organiser, activating it there.

Q: SHE'S NOT AN ACTUAL WEREWOLF!
A: We have cleaned her old scripts and werewolf related things in order to make her more functional, safer to use, and most importantly, to make her compatible with some of the most popular werewolf mods, such as Moonlight Tales, Amazing Follower Tweaks, and others. And you know what? Even the NPCs that are supposed to be werewolves in the game actually aren't! All their transformations are scripted. Yes, we checked! That doesn't mean we will stop trying to turn her into a fully fledged werewolf again. We just need some time to learn and test to make it work well and to make it perfectly safe for people to use.

Q: I DON'T LIKE THE CURRENT VERSION AND/OR WANT HER TO BE A WEREWOLF AFTER ALL, CAN I INSTALL ONE OF THE OLDER FILES?
A: We would not recommend doing that. The current version is cleaner, safer to use, and we are much more experienced modders now. You can use it, of course, many people seem to have, and without a problem, too. However, the fact is that the current version is simply improved and much more advanced, it's less likely to ruin your save in case some rare bug occurs. (We all know Skyrim glitches and bugs take no prisoners.) In comparison with the previous versions, Alv is now completely standalone, except some tiny details we left up to the player (e.g. eye normal maps), she has her own body, skin, skeleton, she has her own custom fighting style. That means pretty much zero issues with her no matter which body, skin, race tweaks, etc. you use! Plus, let's face it, she's the cutest and deadliest she's ever been.

Q: WHERE DO I FIND HER?
A: She lives in Rivewood. Not just that. She's an integrated part of it! She can usually be found either working at the forge, chopping wood, walking through the streets, or resting in the Sleeping Giant Inn. She sometimes sleeps in the tiny camp just outside the gates. Keep an eye out.

Q: SHE IS REALLY, REALLY NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! HELP!
A: Please, check that you have activated her ESP either in the Skyrim's launcher or in your mod organiser (NMM and such). Without that, she does not exist in the world! The same thing if you didn't extract her meshes properly.

    Q: SHE HAS SEAMS!
A: We're sorry but at the moment we do not have the skills to fix the seams completely. We did our best to make at least the neckseam less noticeable. Feel free to try your hand at making her seamless if you will. There are also various factors that can make seams more or less visible, such as the lighting, ENB settings, etc. We will update Alv the moment we manage to fix the issues.

    Q: SHE HAS PURPLE HAIR/EYES/ETC.!
A: Are you using one of the older versions? If yes, please, refer to the required mods section. They are no longer needed for the newest version, but the requirements for the older versions remain unchanged: YOU MUST INSTALL THE REQUIRED MODS. If you don't want the whole mods, you need to find the assets old Alv needs. There are no buts and no excuses! Without them, she will be missing important assets.
If you use the current version and still get purple body parts, the chances are you did not extract her files properly. You can fix that by simply doing that again. Try extracting the mod's Data folder onto your desktop, open your Steam>SteamApps>common>Skyrim and drop the whole Data folder there, merge when asked, overwrite when asked.

Q: I'VE BEEN USING AN OLDER VERSION OF ALV AND WANT TO START USING THE NEW ONE, DO I NEED A CLEAN SAVE? IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE UPDATING?
A: With Alvhilde - Lite Version, you can simply overwrite the files and nothing else is needed. It would be good to dismiss her first, though, just to be sure everything will be fine after the reinstall. We do recommend completely removing all her files from your folders before doing that. Why? Because that way you will have a lot less unnecessary mess cluttering your folders.
With the older versions that contain the werewolf scripts, we recommend to make a clean save, just to be safe.

Q: WHY ISN'T SHE BLONDE LIKE A TRUE NORD? CAN YOU MAKE HER MORE NORD-LOOKING?
A: Not all Nords have blonde hair. Lydia? Dark hair. Maven Black-Briar? Dark hair. Serana? Dark hair. Aela the Huntress? Auburn hair. Alva? Dark hair. Hadvar? Brown hair. Yada, yada, yada. All Nords.
Moreover, we are most certainly not making any appearance changes to Alvhilde. You wouldn't perform a plastic surgery on a friend, would you? Now go sit in the corner.

Such an impresssing face - such a badly proportioned body (downwards from waist on) What a pity, had to dismiss her, got eye cancer. But I give endorsements for the face and the will to create an individual.

Its not that hard to change a follower's body. I do it all the time.

Find the meshes folder in the mod (you may need to use BAE to open the bsa if the mod has one). In this folder, you should find a folder somewhere in it with files labeled something like 'femalebody', 'hands', 'feet', you get the idea.

Now, find the files for your body. They should be labeled things like femalebody_0, femalebody_1, etc... Copy these into the follower's corresponding folder. Note you may have to rename the files to the ones found in the follower's folder, though I find this to be rare. Normally they're just located in a custom sub-folder named either after the mod author or the follower.

This will give them whatever body you want, though note you may need to change the skin texture to match depending on the body you use. The process is the same, except the files are located in the texture folder.

Alternatively, you can set them in the esp to use the default body rather than their custom one. You can't do this to change their texture though, since custom head meshes normally have their texture tied directly to the mesh from outside the esp. You'll still have to manually change out their textures even if you do this. You can also create a separate replacer mod for a follower, allowing you to more easily switch between different bodies and textures.

For the armor, if an npc has one, you may not always be able to do much about it. Unless you can bodyslide it, you may just have to switch them to a vanilla armor, or another one you can bodyslide. For this one though, you could just switch her to the default bandit armor to get her 'armor' to match her body.

Does anyone know what the permissions are on this mod?

I (easily) ported it to SE for my own use, works great,
and this is an heirloom that shouldn't fall into obscurity.

Imagine, a follower that actually looks like a real person(!)
    SE should hear about this...

Hello, you can post your SE port as long as you keep the credits in the readme and also keep a link to the original, and thank you for the kind words!

Since this is one of my favorite followers, I am missing her combat style in SE. Is there any chance we can get her ported to SE? She's as much a part of my game that if the answer is no, I will stay on Old Skyrim! Thanks for such a great contribution.

Hello, thanks for the interest in the mod! I haven't played in a long time, however I returned to see the news in the mods and I will see about converting her to SE edition.

Vlad, my dude, I feel you. I just spent the last 15 minutes looking to see if she had been; I had a game with her once and never got to finish it and really wanted to have her in my new SE version of my character. I love her backstory

Well I am planning to start rebuilding my modlist in the near future (a month at least) and even that will take some time. But once I start rebuilding my modlist I tend to self port Oldrim mods for personal use. And I plan to include this one to my modlist, but no promises. It has scripts which may or may not run well in SE :/

Trying to figure out where I have a conflict here. I have EFF and Moonlight Tales but the moment she transforms into a wolf she just disappears and never fights. She is still around as I can "talk" to her and run into her but she never reappears until she turns human again. Tried it with a new game and no options selected to see if it was because I was using the female werewolf model but even in the new game she just vanishes. Any thoughts?

Update did find a way to fix this issue but now I can not get her to change into the female werewolf model. :( Tried telling her to match my look with Moonlight Tales but she just turns into a normal werewolf.

Come on man, you're in a forum. You don't simply find a way to fix an issue and doesn't tell anyone. How did you do it?

It always amazes me when people are able to create human faces in this game that look like actual real people. Excellent job

Alvhilde is a good companion. Not some snarky female capable of totally kicking your ass and doesn't by default run around naked with anti-gravity implants holding up mammoth breasts. She is a decent fighter who shows visible improvement over time,, will only be a bit snarky about being your mule and is kinda cute. And today discovered she seems to work in SE. Haven't played with her in LE or SE long enough to get to werewolfing.

Hi. I downloaded the standalone version of the mod and was dismayed to discover that she was nude when she transformed back to human form. I play skyrim around other people and its really embarrassing. I really like the follower but is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

I know this is about 3 years late, but I just found the fix to this. Try going into Alvhilde's mesh files and when you get to all the stuff under "AlvhildeFollower", it you can replace all those femalebody_0.nif files and the other ones (EXCEPT the very important femalehead and femaleskeleton ones) with files from either vanilla Skyrim female meshes or ones from another body mod. It may be glitchy at times but definitely a fix.
