Wouldn't these work as they are? Since they're just sound files? That is, unless the folder or sound file names are changed/updated somehow in Special Edition.. that would be a problem. Though I have downloaded dozens of sound mods from Oldrim nexus and they work perfectly in SSE. It's just that some sound files are actually activated by an esp for example. At least I noticed the ones that did have an esp, didn't work without it in SE. I might be wrong tho.
Have the Bethesda devs ever actually been anywhere cold before? I'm from the North of England and the only time I've ever heard crickets is when travelling to warmer parts of Europe or South East Asia.
Now that it's between -3 and 5 outside I hardly even hear any birds.
