I've brought this mod back from the dead, in order to add another song: 'Vokul Fen Mah'. I might have broken it in the process of doing this though so, you know, feedback would be appreciated.
Hi, sorry for the late reply; I'd sort of forgotten that I'd made this mod. Anyway, this mod contains all of her Skyrim covers - that is assuming she hasn't made anymore since I uploaded this mod. If i remember correctly the songs are:
-The Dragonborn Comes -Age of Oppression -Age of Aggression -Tale of Tongues
Hi, thanks for a great mod. It makes walking around Skyrim that much more enjoyable. I'm using the non-replacer version, seems to be working just fine. Songs would trigger at random. The only issue I have is the songs getting cut short when I discover a new location or going into combat. Not sure if this is just happening to me?
I think it's unavoidable when going into combat because the combat music will instantly take precedence. Although it's weird that discovering a new location is a problem. It may be that that location has it's own specific music that it plays. I'm currently in the process of reinstalling Skyrim and all my mods - which is taking a while. I'll look into it as soon as I can though and post a fix if I find one. Thanks for the info.
I suppose that makes sense, although it would be cool if the song would just keep playing when a dragon flops down in front of me. It makes the battle surreal and epic. Main while, I'm going to give the replacer a try. Maybe with a higher song frequency, the sudden stoppage would not be so bad. Thanks!
I just loaded this, and right outside Solitude when trading with the Khajiit, Malukah started singing. A sunny day, ambient sounds all around. All I can say is wow! Thanks! The song did not interfere with the game play and it just sounded fantastic. Great mod and thank you! Endorsed!
There is a version of this mod that doesn't replace any tracks (the top mod in the Files section). Although if you want to download the other mod that does replace some songs these are the songs it'll replace:
- Under and Ancient Sun - The Jerall Mountains - Tundra - Dawn
You should be able to find these songs on YouTube if you'd like to listen. I hope that helps.
@javamonsoon2o2p: I've been quite liberal with the use of the word 'Ambient'. Arguably I intended the opposite with this mod; I wanted the tracks to stand out, I wanted it to be somewhat eventful when the player heard it in-game. Obviously there're conflicts with NPC speech but that's inherent in the mod. You're right though; this isn't technically 'Ambient Music', rather music that creates the intended ambience.
