This mod doesn't account for enchanted items when equipping through hotkeys. You will equip your gear, but if you look in your inventory you will notice you have no enchantment bonuses. you will have to go into your menu and unequip/reequip the items to get the enchantment bonuses.
Hey folks. Just wanted to chime in that I stopped development on this because SkyUI features pretty much cover the whole spectrum of what Outfitter did.
I see some reference also to the SKSE Tester, which is no longer necessary as the good folks there FINALLY created a reliable Windows installer. Also some reference to a savegame that I never created/posted.
The thing is, unless I just don't understand how SkyUI works, it does NOT do what your mod does so easily, efficiently, and elegantly. I hate trying to use SkyUI to group and swap my outfits. Unless, as I say, I just don't understand how it works, it's clunky and unintuitive, I can't hotkey my outfits the way I want to, and it breaks my regular hotkeys. Your mod is wonderful and it just plain works. I only found it today, and I'm very sorry to read that you're giving it the toss. I just want to say thanks anyway.
I tried skyui and it did not change outfits well. Their menu constantly forgot items stored in it, and even got confused as to what items were set to which hot keys.
@Magicakingom, I would have to agree with you on that. I was near Warmaiden's and use SkyUI to switch from my out in the wilds armor to my in town clothes. Well it froze up, I exited out and my weapons changed over so I waited a little bit for the rest to pop on. Well it took so long that Mila Valentia had time to run up to me and cry out, "You're naked!" Needless to say she wasn't the only one horrified.
@Jaxonz Even though you're no longer working on this I'm so going to give this a try. Honestly for the SkyUI the groups I use them to sort out my spells, weapons, general powers and shouts to just break long lists up and find everything quicker.
Great Mod but i noticed 1 issue. When auto equip armor the armor rating is not at max. I have legendary heavy armor with heavy armor enchanting. Only the HA with HA enchanting pieces are effected with this issue. So i have to "manual" re-equip those pieces again. Then the Armor rating is on max again. This issue is also there with light armor pieces. Please fix this...
Ok, now that I have used this for a while and do really like it, I am sad that you have decided to stop development. Perhaps you would consider developing this same idea in another way? I have played this game since it was released. I love it. What I feel would be a very useful mod is the same thing in "safe chests... or whatever's.
The concept is you can unload your current equipment that is tagged in your current mod into a chest, load up with loot, go sell it, come back to the chest and re-equip that which you unloaded earlier - if that makes sense. In essence, I am carrying my essentials now. I want to remove them all (or using layers as you have done with this mod) so I can go shopping or selling or just cruise around my home or town yet quickly re-equip my essentials again.
This is actually a really awesome idea but I really need to know more about this mod in the description before I download it. Mainly specifics outlining exactly what one should expect when using this mod.
Hello everyone I just have a few quick questions. I have been using loadout for most of my play through but I thought I would try this one out as loadout only seems to work for me when it wants to. this seems to work for the most part from what i see. The first outfit doesn't work but everyone seems to know that. My first question has to do with weapons, I can equip my bow and arrows no problem on one outfit, but when i try to save my mace or sword in one had with a spell in the other it doesn't save the weapon with the outfit. I've tried it with a few different weapons, but it never saves, it saves the spells and all the armor, but not my weapon. I've tried with enchanted and unenchanted weapons. So if anyone has any ideas that would be great to help out for that. Nothing like hitting the hot key for the your close combat outfit only to come up with a fist against a dragon. lol
My second question has to do with "layering feature". Is there a way to just change outfits without layering? For example, my main armor is very modular with several pieces, but my town or home outfits are much simpler. The problem is that when I save my main armor, lets say it has 7 pieces, then when I walk into town and hit the hot key for my town outfit that has say 4 pieces, I'm walking around in a city outfit with huge dragon face shoulder pads and a face mask because my town outfit doesn't have pieces to overwrite the main armor pieces. I just want the outfit I have saved to be equipped. The only way I have found to change my outfit only to the one saved is that i have to go into my inventory, manually take everything off, then hit the hot key for the town or home outfit. Not really helpful. I even tried to save a naked outfit that i could hit to take everything off then hit the city or town out fits but that doesn't work.
I know these are kind of random questions, any help would be great, but if the mod doesn't save weapons with outfits and doesn't allow me to change my outfits without going into my inventory, then it's kind of a waste of a mod in my load order. Because I'm real big into the role playing side of the game, a mod like this is a must for me, I like this one so far, but I just need a little help. Thanks guys
thanks for the heads up, hadn't actually got to that outfit yet, I can also confirm that the mod WILL remember and equip items even if you've removed them from your inventory and put them back before using the hotkey/menu option

TIP: "Alchemy" category DOES NOT WORK. Just save your alchemy gear to Enchanter or something (there's no enchanter enchant anyway!)
