This is mostly cosmetic right? How do these affect the actual game and gameplay? Charisma for solving problems without violence? LOL that's kinda hard to implement in a game that is about fighting, stealing and killing. You can't exactly stop a Hargraven from killing you with a chit chat..
I didn't like this mod. First off, I didn't like the whole book system. Very clunky and tedious. Second, the benefits cost too much so I would have to get 2 detriments (out of a small list. and I didn't even like any of them) so I end up debuffing my character more than buffing. Not balanced at all. It would be much simpler and balanced if each benefit costs a detriment. Also each race should have access to all traits. I mean why limit things? It's the player's character and they can decide if a trait fits or not. You could also do it like Fallout New Vegas where traits bring both positive and negative effects. For example, Small Frame: moves faster but gets crippled easier.
This is a good idea, but I agree with gyashaa. This mod is not well balanced : I need to have 2 detriments to buy 1 advantage. The cost is really not balance and the rest is spend in perk point, but I don't like the idea because I think is cheating to gain perk point like that. Also, that bother me that the traits are limited to races and the book system is messy and really not convenient. This mod need a MCM menu and a update.
Im not sure if im the only one with this issue but I had the "Vulnerable" Perk applied, which sets your HP regen to zero. I used a regen potion and the game crashed. Anyone else with this issue? Did the game have trouble multiplying by zero?
Would that be possible for you to make MCM menu for this mod? Choosing perks via books is so annoying that i dropped this mod, most of the time i was getting a few copies of my book set with the script lag. Also, you could take some inspiration from Arcanum's character backgrounds: http://troika.wikia.com/wiki/Background I will probably write some potential traits later, cheers!
Now, ii'm not entirely sure about this, but i think the "Not dragonborn" one is broken. When i get near the w estern watch tower with a character thats not dragonborn, the game CTD. It does not do this with any of my other characters that don't have that trait.
if no one have reported such a thing, its probably one of my other mods that's not working along with the trait. But certainly something to watch out for. Otherwise a great mod! awesome role playing content.
If you are still working on this, it would be cool if you could add some "lightweight" ones. I Found this really usefull with "clean" classes, but relying on two skillsets, like a battlemage, the good ones are too expensive to balance with two or three bad ones. Maybe make some of the good ones with only half the gain for half the price.
"Not the dragonborn" doesn't actually stop the main story from starting, it just effects how much damage dragons deal to you and the shout cooldown time.
I'm not sure how to activate this. I started a new game before I added this, but does that mean I can't play my original character? I'm also using Children of the Sky, so that might also be something that's conflicting, since I wanted to play a teen for roleplaying purposes.
Maybe you've found out at this point, but you have to open a book in your inventory, then close your inventory, it'll add the books necessary to add traits.
just downloaded this and tried it out and i have to say i like the idea alot. really adds that little bit extra to help roleplaying and immersion. thanks for the mod! endorsed!

Edit: Seems to work fine with Imperious Racials. A shame Daggerfall traits is so outdated and doesn't seem to work at all with USLEEP.
Would be nice if it was Zero-Sum as opposed to: 2 flaws per 1 benefit. All points you bring up are reasons why I haven't used it in years.
