Version 2.57
- 16 September 2013: 2.57 version released. I was going to include these fixes along with version 2.6 but it's going to be delayed a little so I'm releasing them now.
+ Feeding animations are now better synchronised with the feeding script. That means if you feed on someone that person should die or lose consciousness at the end of the animation and not at the start. This can be adjusted in MCM.
+ NPC Speech skill contributes more to their dialogue feeding resistance to compensate for the fact that NPCs often have low Speech values even if their background suggests they should be more eloquent. Also MCM allows to adjust the overall difficulty of Speech checks now.

Version 2.56
- 7 September 2013: 2.56 version released. It's now compatible with most features of DVA Dynamic Vampire Appearance: blood on lips after feeding, hunger affecting appearance and combat eyes but not night vision eyes (yet).
If you don't have DVA these changes won't affect you at all.
- 7 September 2013: 2.56 version released. It's now compatible with most features of DVA Dynamic Vampire Appearance: blood on lips after feeding, hunger affecting appearance and combat eyes but not night vision eyes (yet).
-
Version 2.55
- 6 September 2013: 2.55 version released. I rewrote the way feeding impediments work so now the system can intelligently detect if player is wearing a full helmet and added default compatibility with Sanguine Debauchery and mods based on ZaZAnimationPack (compatibility patching not needed anymore). If you don't like the biting prevention system it can also be disabled in MCM now.
-
Version 2.54
- 6 September 2013: 2.54 version released.
+There is a new MCM page now for compatibility patches with other mods (right now only "Realistic Needs and Diseases" and "Sanguine's Debauchery").
+Also because dialogue seduction is risk free and easy compared to other options it now has a downside too: a seduced vessel will only willingly let you feed if her or his health is above 55%.
+ Now there is a message warning player if sun is about to come up if travelling outside. It can be configured and disabled in MCM.
+ Smaller fixes include not being able to feed from horseback anymore and sunlight debuff correctly applying only to hostile spells now.
- 6 September 2013: 2.54 version released.
-
Version 2.53
- 4 September 2013: 2.53 version released. I fixed a few faulty conditions on feeding actions that should prevent certain exploits and bugs. You should no longer be able to feed on dogs, daedric statues and most disembodied voices and Vampiric Drain will no longer satisfy hunger if used on invalid targets. Also there was a tiny error that caused vampire lord to stop moving for a second after power attack feeding, this shouldn't be happening anymore. Also feeding on ghosts shouldn't be possible anymore BUT ONLY if the ghosts have the proper keyword (ActorTypeGhost)!
-
Version 2.52
- 28 August 2013: 2.52 version released. I put a safeguard to prevent a reported issue that may cause random npcs to drop dead for no reason which may have been caused by another mod modifying their "Variable08" actor value. It shouldn't be happening anymore but if you fed on anyone before installing this version you will have to feed again to restart that npc's blood loss recovery.
-
Version 2.51
- 27 August 2013: 2.51 version released. A small update that changes the way vamprirism attributes are applied to the player: now the important keywords and abilities are attached to an alias instead of directly to player character. For the average player it means:
+ MCM now includes the option to change between character's normal and vampire appearance without any impact on gameplay or quests. See your character's pretty face the way you made it without installing billion mods to remove sunken cheeks!
+ Default compatibility with custom races. Going through complicated compatibility procedures isn't needed anymore.

Version 2.5
- 27 August 2013: 2.5 version released. The mod has gone through extensive changes, TES5Edit cleaning, and overall "modernisation". Some parts of it have even been completely removed and rewritten from scratch! Most importantly files have been a little rearranged so you NEED to read installation instructions if updating from an older version!
Here is a summary of changes this version brings:
+ MCM support! Along with translation files for the menu. MCM allows you to customise Vampiric Thirst easily and quickly like never before and now it also includes a detailed HELP section! If anything about the mod's gameplay features confuses you just read the tutorials.
+ Rewritten dialogue feeding! Now with three completely distinct roleplaying choices and their consequences: seduction, reveal vampirism and intimidation. Each uses different factors to determine chances of success. Lasting relationships are finally working right and to prevent spamming and exploits if you fail you will need to increase your Speech skill (actual skill! enchantments and blessings don't count!) to try again.
+ Completely redone blood preference and quality! The old system was buggy, script heavy and old. I wanted to simply remove it but it was such an iconic part of VT that I couldn't soooo... I started from scratch! Now you develop preference not for races and genders but for individuals and if it's high enough you will receive a temporary boon based on that person's qualities! Because it involves no complex checks, no stacks of while loops and no formlist checking it has 100% less impact on performance! Say bai bai to lengthy script delays that get worse every time, save bloats and weird feeding related issues! Things finally work! But that's not all: if you don't like it or parts of it, you can strip down or even completely disable this system!
+ Infinity+1 other fixes meant to increase the mod's stability, compatibility, performance and to reduce its impact on your savegames. It doesn't leave useless spell tokens on NPCs anymore, handles hotkeys through proper SKSE events and removes scripts wherever possible to replace them with more performance friendly means. It has also been cleaned both manually and with TES5Edit.
